'America Is In Trouble': Former Police Chief James Craig Endorses Trump For 2024 In POWERFUL Op-Ed - 'Leadership Matters'

Former Police Chief James Craig endorsed leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump for his second White House run, citing Trump's impressive leadership on a host of issues in contrast to Biden's lack of leadership.

Craig is a retired police officer having served in some of the most intense cities like Detroit and Los Angeles. He was able to work his way up through the ranks, eventually being able to serve as chief for Cincinnati, Portland, and his home city of Detroit. After his time, the former police chief is keenly aware of just how important leadership is to ensure that anything is running smoothly.

He writes in the Daily Caller about the numerous achievements and triumphs of President Trump, discussing the strong economy and low crime rate, something he was able to directly observe through his position. That’s on top of a safer and more secure southern border, better foreign relationships, and a much stronger American energy sector, with Craig writing, “It was a proud time to be an American.”

Things have taken a nasty turn under Biden, with Craig noting how “city police departments [are] struggling to hire enough recruits to offset attrition rates” and numerous other positive facets of the Trump administration completely disappearing.

What that boils down to in the eyes of the accomplished police officer is leadership. He states that “Leadership matters, and our nation’s current cast of leadership is creating problems which are reverberating across the country.” For those exact reasons, he is supporting Trump in the coming 2024 election and advocating for others to do so as well.

Craig is well aware that many other presidential hopefuls could do a lot for the country in the future, but ultimately he believes that right now the country needs Trump. The former police chief knows that he isn’t the only one to believe so either, pointing to polling that shows Trump over 50 percent ahead of second-place Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), per the DC Enquirer

He revisits the earlier strong points that he discussed about Trump, mainly the safety of the nation and the strength of the economy. He notes that inflation is tearing the nation apart alongside rising gas prices. He notes that the “economic damage is shattering to Americans,” but it isn’t even the worst of it.

Alongside the economic issues, there's rising crime. Craig drops some numbers like car thefts being up 100 percent in the first six months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2019. But of course, no one is outraged at Biden in the media over such a massive increase in crime.

The accomplished officer notes the sinister playbook of the Democrats and specifically the Biden administration to ignore the issue and instead deflect when confronted. Craig writes that it’s “as if they are intent on gaslighting their way to reelection,” a comment that may come off jokingly but is simultaneously concerningly true.

He begins to wrap things up by addressing criticisms of Trump and saying that he “was not and is not perfect.” Of course, no person is ever going to be perfect but they most certainly can be much better than senile Biden. For those reasons, he believes that the people need to ensure that Trump wins the election and that the leaders currently residing in D.C. will be ready to support him when he returns.

Craig finishes, writing, “Leadership matters, and America needs leaders ready to state boldly the obvious: America is in trouble, but we are going to get to work and fix our country.” A statement that has never been so true for this country.
