On Monday, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez voiced her support for Joe Biden's 2024 reelection campaign amid mounting pressure for the president to drop out of the race altogether following his disastrous CNN presidential debate performance. With millions of Americans throwing their support behind Biden's main competitor, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, and his patriotic, America First agenda, the stakes for the upcoming election could not be higher. The Democrats must act decisively to keep the election competitive.
"I have spoken to the President over the weekend. I have spoken with him extensively. He made clear then and he has made clear since that he is in this race. The matter is closed. He had reiterated that this morning, he has reiterated that to the public. Joe Biden is our nominee. He is not leaving this race. He is in this race, and I support him," Ocasio-Cortez told CBS News' Ellis Kim, as previously reported by CBS's Senior White House correspondent Ed O'Keefe. Ocasio-Cortez endorsed Biden in 2020 after Bernie Sanders' campaign fell through in the same election cycle and has joined a long list of Democrat politicians who have maintained their support for his campaign in the last week, as previously reported by Breitbart News.
Of course, we, the people, are in desperate need of change, and that change is on the horizon. It cannot come from Ocasio-Cortez's far left, an entity that already controls almost all of our major institutions. Fortunately for our nation, Donald J. Trump remains a potent force to win the presidency in 2024, and, as such, he has a great chance to reimplement a truly potent America First agenda that should make our nation proud.
The Real Clear Politics polling average has him besting Joe Biden in nationwide polling in recent months, despite the fact that Republican presidential candidates can generally afford to underperform in the popular vote while still winning the election - as they did in 2000 and 2016. Trump has gained an even more impressive lead, given his utterly dominant performance in the CNN presidential debate -- a performance that contrasted an effective leader in President Trump with his ineffective and, indeed, incompetent successor.
As such, it stands to reason that the radical, far-left Democrats would use any means necessary to gain a much-needed political advantage - including indicting their most likely political opponent. But if Republicans sell their agenda and effectively criticize the Biden administration's America Last policies, the sky is the limit for Republicans in 2024 -- and our nation may very well depend on it. That means rallying around an agenda that is widely popular with Americans -- an agenda that stands up for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.
