As Kennedy Jr.'s Twitter Space With Elon Musk Nears, Democrat Gains Shocking Endorsement

Twitter owner Elon Musk announced Sunday that he will host a Twitter Spaces conversation with Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The event entitled "Reclaiming Democracy" was subsequently scheduled for 2 p.m. EST on Monday. By itself the move made headlines, but on Monday morning a surprise endorsement added to the gravity of the moment and shows RFK, Jr. is picking up steam. The endorsement came from none other than Twitter's controversial co-founder and a cultural icon of the left: Jack Dorsey.

As previously reported by DC Enquirer, the Twitter Spaces launch of Governor Ron DeSantis' campaign met with mixed reviews due to the technical shortfalls experienced as well as DeSantis' oratory which met with criticism. According to Fox News, the approximately one-hour-long audio-only interview on Twitter drew in about 300,000 concurrent listeners. After a day over 3.4 million people had listed to the live presentation or a recording later, proving the platform's viability for political discourse.

As reported by The Hill, Dorsey seemed to endorse Kennedy over the weekend when he retweeted video of Kennedy stating that he could defeat 45th President Donald J. Trump as well as DeSantis. Dorsey tweeted with the caption, "He can and will."

The former CEO of Twitter also answered several comments on his tweet reinforcing his apparent support of Kennedy. He answered one tweet noted by The Hill that said, "The DNC would never allow that, are you kidding??" with, "True but they seem to be more irrelevant by the day."

Dorsey also retweeted Elon Musk's announcement of the upcoming Twitter Spaces live stream event scheduled for 2 p.m. EST Monday.

RFK Jr. tweeted that he expects to be joined by former Congresswoman and former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard (I-HI) alongside Balaji S. Srinivasan, former Chief Technology Officer of Coinbase, Omeed Malik, entrepreneur and Contributing Editor of The Daily Caller, author Micheal Shellenberger, surfer Kelly Slater and podcast host David Sacks.

Jack Dorsey is a donor of notable influence in Democratic circles, having donated to the presidential campaigns of Gabbard as well as Andrew Yang in the past. He also donated $15 million to mayors pursuing guaranteed basic income in 2020, according to CEO Today.
