'Biden Can't Win': Tucker Carlson Reveals That Obama Is Working Behind The Scenes To Undermine Biden

After a tumultuous few days following President Joe Biden's disastrous debate on Thursday night, Democrats have been scrambling to ensure that President Biden remains at the top of the ticket despite high-profile donors and media figures calling for the president to step aside for someone younger. One of those who swooped in to defend Biden was his former boss, President Barack Obama, who took to social media following the debate to calm Democrats and emphasize Biden's record. However, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson revealed on Monday that Obama's defense of the 81-year-old Democrat wasn't as forthcoming as some in Biden's orbit had hoped.

"From an unusually good source: Obama's tweet supporting Joe Biden was disingenuous," Carlson wrote on X. "In private, Obama is telling people Biden can't win, and he is therefore in favor of an open convention. Obama will not say whom he supports, nor as of yesterday afternoon had he met personally with Biden to deliver the message."

"Relations between the Obamas and the Bidens have never been warm. At times they've been hostile. But recently they've deteriorated further, mostly due to Jill Biden. In the hours and days after the debate, she kept her husband cloistered away from anyone who might convince him to drop out," the conservative commentator claimed. "Jill Biden is the driving force behind her husband's reelection campaign, just as she was in 2020, when other members of the family (including Biden's sister Val) considered him too impaired to run. The next generation of potential Democratic candidates understands all this as an opportunity and they're circling, particularly Gretchen Whitmer, who is promoting herself aggressively."

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, President Obama came out on Friday after the debate to stand behind his former vice president and explain that Biden's debate performance doesn't erase his accomplishments over the past three years. "Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know," Obama said, likely referencing his first 2012 presidential debate against Mitt Romney. "But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself."

"Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit," the former president continued. "Last night didn't change that, and it's why so much is at stake in November."

After Democrats decided to forego the primary process earlier this year, Democrats were willing to rig the race and learned the hard way why leaving your candidate out of the limelight of press questions and primary debates can lead to devastating consequences. Given the near impossibility of trying to replace Biden, Democrat electoral chances in November look increasingly slim. The president's failure to show that he's up to the job will not only lead to him losing the presidency but will have devastating consequences for Democrats in down-ballot races. Carlson's assertion about Obama's true intentions, if correct, would throw the Democrat Party into chaos and repeat the infamous mayhem seen at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968.
