They're 'Full Of S**t': Bill Maher Blasts Sanctuary New York City As Migrants Flood The Streets

Even prominent liberals have notable problems with the handling of the onslaught of illegal migrants being sent to Democrat-run sanctuary cities, with prominent late-night talk show host Bill Maher pointing out Sunday the double standard that liberals have about migrants. 

Maher was speaking alongside television personality Sharon Osbourne on his podcast ‘Club Random’ when he dived into the topic of sanctuary cities. He specifically points towards New York City, which has been the most vocal about its struggle with migrants, but his comments were directed toward all northern cities that are being sent illegals from the southern border.

He said that the cities have been “hoist with their own petard” by openly saying that they support migrants coming into the cities whenever they have low numbers but then crying foul once a large number of them are sent in. Maher referred to what the cities are doing as “posturing,” saying that they should just stop trying to be righteous and instead address the issue.

“Don’t pretend that you love migrants so much and then when [border states] send them to you, you don’t like them,” he said. “You know — you’re full of s**t and we can see that.”

“Yeah, you liked them when it wasn’t your problem because you’re not a border state,” he continued. “And then when they show up in Chicago, in New York, you’re like, ‘What the f–k? What are we going to do with these people?’”

Maher specifically complained about how the policies that have placed thousands of migrants in urban streets are “the reverse of what liberalism really is.” 

“Liberalism is ‘For the sake of humanity and compassion, can we get these people off the streets?’ And woke is, ‘How dare you ask them to move! This is their home,'” he remarked. “No, it’s not!”

On Monday, the Big Apple’s Mayor Eric Adams (D) warned residents that the swarms of migrants sleeping on cardboard boxes would be coming “to a neighborhood near you” while attacking Biden’s handling of the migrant crisis, per the DC Enquirer. He also warned the citizens that “from this moment on it's downhill,” making the future of the city look extremely bleak.

Maher then discussed how there had to be better solutions than just stuffing the illegals into the hotels of the cities. He floated the idea of purchasing barracks to house them in, noting that “they’re not that expensive,” making them a realistic option to house the illegals. 

Things must be at a breaking point when even liberals are disappointed with how the open border is being handled. Though Maher never actually advocates for the border to be closed up, perhaps this moment could serve as a turning point for him and many other liberals to wake up and realize that there is no way to handle the crisis.

Too many illegals want to take advantage of America’s prosperity, it’s as simple as that. As long as the federal government allows them to do so they will continue but never during that course will they stop sucking resources away from tax-paying American citizens. Things must change soon.
