Boebert CALLS OUT GOP Ahead of Midterms: ‘We Cannot Run As Conservatives And Govern As Democrats’

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) forcefully called on Republicans to put their money where their mouth is on Tuesday, arguing they cannot “run as Conservatives and govern as Democrats,” during an interview with Fox Business’ “Mornings With Maria.”

Boebert discussed the political theater that is the January 6 Committee and criticized the motives of the Democratic Party members leading the charge. She also claimed the hearings are no different from any of the Democrats’ previous witchhunts against conservative Republicans.

“It is all been a witch hunt for years,” the Colorado Republican told Fox Business. “And they just find something new to focus on. First, it was ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’, and now it’s January 6 that has completely changed the focus for the Democrat Party, but it’s all a distraction from their failed policies. Americans are paying the price for Democrat policies.”

“We’ve been under Democrat rule for one and a half years now, and it has done nothing but harm the American people,” Boebert added. “It is difficult to find work. It is difficult to find employees. It is hard to put food on the table, and even arrive at your job paying over five dollars a gallon for gas.”

She also highlighted recent poll numbers showing “Democrats, Republicans, and Independents aren’t happy with how the country is being run. And they see the damage that Biden has caused and they want change.”

“And the only way Republicans can really mess this up is if we start acting like Democrats,” Boebert continued. “So, that’s why in the House Freedom Caucus, we fully intend to make sure whoever is leading the GOP does what they promise. We cannot run as conservatives and govern as Democrats. Conservative policies work, and we Republicans need to govern that way.”

Boebert is correct. America First politicians cannot claim to be defenders of the Constitution, then constantly surrender to the emotion and lawlessness of Democrats whenever a weighty issue comes into question.

America must fight for that which is true, good, and beautiful. Liberals lack appreciation for all three. This is the only way to save the nation and bring our country back.
