The Soros-funded District Attorney of Manhattan, Alvin Bragg, issued a statement this Tuesday after Congressional Republicans announced investigations into Bragg’s handling of a potential Trump indictment.
“We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law,” a spokesperson for Bragg said in a statement, as reported by Axios. “In every prosecution, we follow the law without fear or favor to uncover the truth. Our skilled, honest and dedicated lawyers remain hard at work.”
Bragg was responding to a letter sent by Congressmen Jim Jordan (R-OH), James Comer (R-KY) and Bryan Steil (R-WI) this Monday, which stated, “you [D.A. Bragg] are reportedly about to engage in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority: the indictment of a former President of the United States and current declared candidate for that office. This indictment comes after years of your office searching for a basis—any basis—on which to bring charges, ultimately settling on a novel legal theory untested anywhere in the country and one that federal authorities declined to pursue.”

“If these reports are accurate, your actions will erode confidence in the evenhanded application of justice and unalterably interfere in the course of the 2024 presidential election. In light of the serious consequences of your actions, we expect that you will testify about what plainly appears to be a politically motivated prosecutorial decision,” the Republicans continued, before asking for documents relevant to the case.
Congresswoman and House Republican Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) joined these Republicans in calling for an investigation, telling Breitbart “I think we should hear Alvin Bragg testify before Congress, under oath, about his vision and the fact that this is wildly political and the fact that this was not pursued by federal courts and the fact that the Department of Justice passed on this.”
“I also want to hear his answers about funding from George Soros. I want to hear his answers about the crime crisis in New York. So, at the same time like I said that you have him lowering felonies to misdemeanors you have something that is beyond the statute of limitations and is a political witch hunt. So I absolutely want to hear Alvin Bragg testify before Congress,” Stefanik added.
The American people are demanding answers, and they will not rest until the situation is handled with maximum transparency.
