Brandon Gill Praises ‘Hero’ Cory Mills For Doing What Biden Won’t: ‘Biden Abandons Americans Abroad’

On Tuesday, the Republican nominee for Texas 26th Congressional District, Brandon Gill, praised Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) for evacuating and rescuing a trapped and endangered group of Americans from Michigan abandoned by President Joe Biden. "Joe Biden abandons Americans abroad, leaving them stranded and in danger. What a disgrace. Cory Mills is a hero," Gill wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I am proud to report that my team and I were successful in evacuating and rescuing a trapped, and at-risk group of Americans from 'Have Faith Orphanage' in Haiti last night. This recent mission reiterates a disturbing reality that under President Biden's leadership American lives are continually jeopardized. I have conducted rescue/ evacs of Americans multiple times when Joe Biden has deserted them. There's a clear pattern of abandonment," Mills wrote in a post on X.

"Americans at home and abroad are more unsafe under Biden than ever before. We need President Trump back in the White House as the world can't afford 4 more years of Biden's failed administration," Mills added.

A team led by Mills orchestrated a rescue operation involving a group from Michigan, including Detroit Free Press columnist Mitch Albom, who were stranded in Haiti amidst a state of emergency caused by escalating violence. The situation was exacerbated by recent gang activity, including a prison break and attacks on law enforcement. Prime Minister Ariel Henry's announcement of his impending resignation further heightened tensions. Several U.S. citizens were safely evacuated from Haiti, a development welcomed by the State Department.

Brandon Gill recently won a landslide victory over ten other candidates with 58.38 percent of the vote. Gill received endorsements from 45th President Donald Trump, Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and many more. In a written statement, Gill wrote, "Conservatives of North Texas demand change in Washington. They want a secure border, an end to out-of-control spending, and our America First values represented. I want to thank them for entrusting me with their vote. This campaign wasn't about me, it was about the people of our great district who want to send a true conservative to Congress that will fight alongside President Trump."
