On Tuesday, another IRS whistleblower came forward to sound the alarm on the tax probe into Hunter Biden just days after another whistleblower did the same following Hunter Biden's plea deal with the Department of Justice.
The new whistleblower, identified as "Mr. X", claims that Delaware US Attorney David Weiss, who was responsible for the probe, was not really in charge and was not making decisions.
The IRS agent reportedly told congressional staff that he became emotional when speaking with Congressional staff about the mismanagement of the probe into the president's son.
Mr. X apparently worked under the first IRS agent to speak out, Gary Shapley, who revealed that US Attorney David Weiss sought to bring charges against Hunter Biden, however, he was allegedly blocked from doing so by the Department of Justice.
The new whistleblower explained that David Weiss "had to follow the normal process. He had to go to Washington D.C. The U.S. Attorney's Office, them saying no. So he really wasn't in charge. He had to follow the process."
Attorney General Merrick Garland, however, has denied meddling in the investigation, saying on Friday, "As I said at the outset, Mr. Weiss, who was appointed by President Trump as the U.S. attorney in Delaware and assigned this matter during the previous administration, would be permitted to continue his investigation and to make a decision to prosecute any way in which he wanted to and in any district in which he wanted to. Mr. Weiss has since sent a letter to the House Judiciary Committee confirming that he had that authority."
"I don't know how it would be possible for anybody to block him from bringing a prosecution, given that he has this authority," Garland added, as reported by Fox News.
In order to get to the bottom of this, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) announced that he will be subpoenaing David Weiss in order to get answers.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has also signaled that he will take action if House Republicans' questions are not answered by David Weiss and the Department of Justice.
On 'Fox and Friends' on Monday morning, McCarthy explained that if the accusations made by the whistleblower were true, then he would pursue impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Merrick Garland no later than July 6th.
"By July 6th, because of the allegations from the IRS, because of the whistleblowers, and the DOJ - Garland - what he is saying and what David Weiss are saying privately are two different things," McCarthy said. "If it comes true what the IRS whistleblower is saying, we are going to start impeachment inquiries into the attorney general."
President Biden continues to get terrible news as the GOP keeps digging in order to get to the truth. Hopefully, this new whistleblower will provide answers for the American people and hold the Department of Justice accountable for any potential tampering.
