BREAKING: House Republican Files Articles Of Impeachment Against Biden Over Withholding Israel Aid

On Friday, Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) officially filed impeachment articles against President Joe Biden for withholding military aid to Israel, a move that Mills describes as a violation of his oath of office. The House Republican argued that the circumstances and motivation behind Biden's decision is nearly identical to what caused Democrats to impeach President Trump in 2019.

"In violation of his oath to faithfully execute the office of President and to uphold the Constitution, President Biden abused the powers of his office by soliciting a 'quid pro quo' with Israel while leveraging vital military aid for policy changes. This egregious action not only compromised the credibility of the United States but also undermined the interests of our longstanding ally, Israel," the Florida congressman said in a statement. "Therefore, President Biden's conduct warrants impeachment, trial, removal from office, and disqualification from holding any future office under the United States."

"The House has no choice but to impeach President 'Quid pro Joe' Biden. As Vice President, Biden was caught threatening to withhold funding and aid to Ukraine unless they fired the attorney general investigating Burisma, a company financially benefiting his son Hunter, not to mention the 10% share for 'the big guy' himself," Mills explained. The impeachment articles, first obtained by Fox News, argues that Biden "used the powers of the presidency in a manner that compromised the national security of the United States and its ally Israel."

"Now, Joe Biden is pressuring Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by pausing their funding that has already been approved in the House, if they don't stop all operations with Hamas. It's a very clear message, 'this for that,'" Mills continued. "These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we're drawing up articles of impeachment now."

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, a senior Biden official explained that the administration was withholding the weapons over concerns about the impact on civilian populations amid the siege. "Israel should not launch a major ground operation in Rafah, where more than a million people are sheltering with nowhere else to go," the official said. "We are especially focused on the end-use of the 2,000-pound bombs and the impact they could have in dense urban settings as we have seen in other parts of Gaza."

The military equipment, which was approved by Congress, being withheld includes 1,800 2,000-pound bombs, 1,700 500-pound bombs, and other equipment. During an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Biden told host Erin Burnett that he would not provide artillery shells, bombs for fighter jets, and other offensive weaponry that could be used during the operation.
