BREAKING: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Plans To Run As An Independent Against Biden

According to an exclusive report from Mediaite, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who announced his candidacy for the Democrat nomination earlier this year, is expected to run as an independent in the 2024 election against President Joe Biden.

Kennedy's campaign is reportedly preparing attack ads against the Democrat National Committee in order to prepare for his announcement on October 9th, per Mediaite. As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Kennedy has repeatedly criticized the DNC for not hosting primary debates in order to allow Kennedy to challenge Biden head-on and introduce himself to the country.

“Bobby feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go,” a campaign insider told the outlet.

Kennedy has been seen by many as a potential spoiler for President Biden if he chooses to run as an independent as the race between Biden and Trump is likely to be neck-and-neck. In the Democrat primary, Kennedy is currently polling at 15.1 percent in the Five Thirty Eight polling average.

Kennedy recently posted a campaign video to social media that called for the creation of a populist movement that consisted of Americans from both sides of the political spectrum.

"It occurred to me than and it struck me many times since that every nation, like every individual, has a darker side and a lighter side," Kennedy Jr. said. "And that every once in a while, you know, politicians like my dad come along who have a different approach, which is to persuade people one way or the other to transcend their narrow self-interest and see themselves as part of a community, as part of a larger adventure, part of maybe reconstructing our country and making it live up to its promises."

"It's the only way that we're going to save this country if people can find a way to unify," he said. "You know, people from the left and the right and to build the kind of populist movement that my father was able to build in 1968."

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
