BREAKING: Tucker Carlson Gains Access to Over 40,000 Hours of January 6th Footage, What Questions Will Finally Be Answered?

On Monday, it was revealed that Fox News host Tucker Carlson, the long-time head of Fox primetime, has been given access to over 41,000 hours of footage from Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

According to Axios, Carlson’s producers were on Capitol Hill last week to begin investigating the treasure trove of footage from January 6, 2021.

Carlson has routinely done deep-dive investigations into the day’s events and has called on McCarthy to release the footage to the public so that all Americans can see the full picture of what occurred on that day over two years ago.

“[T]here was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret,” Carlson told Axios.

“If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6,” the Fox host explained. “By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that.”

‘THE PUBLIC SHOULD SEE WHAT HAPPENED’: KEVIN MCCARTHY VOWS TO KEEP PROMISE TO THE 20 GOP HOLD-OUTS ABOUT JANUARY 6TH

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Speaker McCarthy vowed to release the footage last month telling reporters, “I think the public should see what happened on that day.”

“I watched what Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized it. Where for the first time in the history as a Speaker, not allowing the minority to appoint to a committee. We watched the politicization of this. I think the American public should actually see what happened instead of a report that’s written on a political basis,” he said, adding, “I want to be very thoughtful about it, but yes, I’m engaged to do that.”

The decision to release the footage was forced by the 20 GOP holdouts who refused to vote for McCarthy’s election to Speaker with the January 6th footage being a key concession.

“Thank you to the 20 patriots who helped EARN this commitment from the Speaker,” tweeted Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) in response to McCarthy’s announcement. “Thank you [Speaker McCarthy] for affirming this commitment you made. Keeping promises is how trust is built. I’m growing more optimistic by the day!”

With Carlson now having access to the tens of thousands of hours of footage, Americans will finally have a better, non-biased picture of what happened on January 6, 2021.
