Chaya Raichik, known widely as 'Libs Of TikTok' revealed a startling report Tuesday that Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) campaigned for and endorsed the first transgender member of the New Hampshire legislature Stacie Marie (formerly Bruce) Laughton who was subsequently arrested on charges of distributing sexually explicit images of children.
As previously reported by DC Enquirer, Laughton, 39, was arrested on four felony counts according to Nashua Police Department public information officer Sgt. John Cinelli. He explained that the case broke when officers were sent to a local facility on a juvenile case.
“They spoke with reporting parties that indicated Laughton distributed sexually explicit images of children,” he explained. “Detectives from the special investigations division were assigned to further the investigation. They applied for and were granted a warrant for Laughton’s arrest.”
The Daily Wire reported that Laughton was initially elected in 2012 only to step down following allegations of credit card fraud. He ran again and won office in November 2022 and resigned shortly after due to charges against him for stalking.
Prior to his 2022 election, Rep. Swalwell was pictured with Laughton at a 2019 campaign event with former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke (D-TX).
Raichik revealed this in a video report posted to Twitter on Wednesday in collaboration with Turning Point USA where she attempted to confront Swalwell at his congressional offices. She wrote, "I went to Eric Swalwell’s office to ask him why he campaigned for a pedophile (Stacie Laughton) for office. Stacie, a trans state rep was arrested for child porn & charged with child exploitation. Eric campaigned for him. Watch what happens next!"
Conservative activist Brick Suit caught the still shots of Laughton and the two congressional Democrats. He wrote, "Imagine being unfortunate enough to work with this person and having to unwillingly partake in their validation fantasies. But Swalwell did it willingly. Seems Beto might have also."
According to The Post Millennial, the US Attorney’s Office District of Massachusetts stated, "The charge of sexual exploitation of children provides for a sentence of at least 15 years and up to 30 years in prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000."
Writing for Turning Point USA Raichik said,She concluded, "Just over a month ago, the House Ethics Committee ended its investigation into Representative Swalwell after suspicions arose that he was entangled with an alleged Chinese intelligence operative. Several members of U.S. Congress have been informed of Representative Swalwell’s involvement with the recently arrested former New Hampshire representative, and will likely inquire as to whether or not he was aware of Laughton’s actions or former arrests when he initially endorsed him.""My team and I went to the California Representative Eric Swalwell’s office to ask him whether or not he wished to comment on the situation, condemning the former representative’s illegal and grotesque actions, or if he planned to endorse any other pedophiles for public office.
Hanging on his office door was a large sign that featured the Ukrainian flag and read “we stand with Ukraine.” Inside his congressional office, a massive pride flag was hung from the wall directly adjacent to the entrance.
His staff informed me that he would not be in the office that day, and said they would take down my information to pass along my concerns. I have not received any communication from him or his staff since this interaction. Images of the California representative with Laughton have circulated online showing the two standing together at a campaign event in New Hampshire."
