The third installment of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise has hit number one at the box office worldwide, and actor Chris Pratt, who plays the lead role of Star-Lord, has a message for fans. In an Instagram post, Pratt expressed his gratitude to fans for their support and dedication to the franchise.
Pratt posted to Instagram, "#1 Movie in the Galaxy! 🚀 Thank you to everyone who came out to support this weekend#GOTGVol3
The film has been quite successful. As the Daily Wire reported, the film generated $289.3 million during its debut, on both foreign and domestic fronts.
Pratt, who identifies as a Christian, has been a strong proponent of bridging gaps between people. That has made him the subject of heated controversy. Nonetheless, Chris Pratt maintains this is not surprising -- for the Lord Jesus Christ was rejected by his own and despised by the people.
As the DC Enquirer previously reported, "During the tour promoting his new film, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3,’ the action star was interviewed by Page Six and discussed his faith. When asked about the criticisms he faces for being Christian, Pratt stated 'that’s nothing new, that nothing new, you know?' Pratt reiterated his point by quoting Bible verses, saying 'If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world. That’s John 15:18 through 20.' The star added 'That’s the way it is, nothing new. 2,000 years ago they hated him too.'"
Pratt's message is a reminder of the importance of entertainment and popular culture. While politics and policy are essential, they are not the only things that matter in our lives. Entertainment and popular culture can bring us together and provide a much-needed escape from the stresses of the world. While the radical left is trying to use the media to push their agenda, fortunately for Americans, there are still figures in popular culture who are not bending the knee to their ideology.
