Comedian Chris Rock Calls Out Fellow Liberals for Trying to Arrest Donald Trump – ’This Is Only Going to Make Him More Popular’

On Sunday, comedian Chris Rock claimed arresting Donald Trump would only “make him more popular.”

“Are you guys really going to arrest Trump?” Rock reportedly asked the crowd at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. “Do you know this is only going to make him more popular? It’s like arresting Tupac. He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?”

Rock was attending the event in honor of fellow comedian and actor Adam Sandler, who had just won the Mark Twain prize, which is awarded to, “individuals who have had an impact on American society in ways similar to the distinguished 19th-century novelist and essayist Samuel Clemens, best known as Mark Twain.”

Rock is right on target — when the Left goes after Trump, his popularity normally soars. After the Mar-a-Lago raid in August of last year, Trump raked in millions of dollars. And it is no wonder why — Trump represents America and her interests. While the radical left continues its war against our values, Trump is their preeminent punching bag.

Americans see themselves and their values in the person of Donald Trump — he is their contender, their political hero. Trump will continue to impress, even as the Left continues to make itself politically irrelevant by going after Trump while not addressing the corrosive ideological commitments of the radical portions of their party.

As such, it would be no surprise if Trump’s popularity only rises with the news of a potential arrest. Trump was so persuasive at selling his ideology to the American people, the radical left had to stop him at all costs. But Trump is not down — he continues to promote his message and is far and away the leading 2024 Republican Presidential contender.

Thus far, no one has stumped Trump, and it doesn’t look like that will happen any time soon. The left can try, but time and time again, they fail. The recent potential indictment is just another example of baseless political prosecution designed to destroy the 45th President and leading Presidential contender Donald J Trump.
