Colin Kaepernick Could Be Recruited By Rival League After Begging NY Jets For Chance

After begging the New York Jets to take him on as quarterback for their practice squad, former NFL player Colin Kaepernick may have a sliver of hope after the Canadian Football League’s BC Lions showed interest in the 35-year-old liberal activist.

According to Breitbart, the team has added the former 49ers quarterback to the negotiations list.

“Each team in the CFL can claim exclusive CFL rights to up to 45 players by placing them on their negotiation lists. Players can be added, removed, or traded from the list at any time,” the CFL website explains.

While a potential offer from the CFL may seem enticing to a man who can't get back into the NFL, it is likely that he will turn down any offer he is given. Previously Kaepernick essentially rejected an offer from the XFL in 2020 after demanding an exorbitant salary. He has repeatedly sabotaged potential chances to enter a league competitor and he seems deadset on getting back into the NFL as demonstrated by the letter he sent to the Jets.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the former player wrote a letter to Jets General Manager Joe Douglas begging him to give the aging player a chance on the practice squad after Aaron Rodgers was taken out of commission with a torn Achilles.

Kaepernick's letter, which was penned on September 21st and posted on rapper J. Cole's Instagram, asked the general manager to consider him for the position.

The former NFL player was initially reluctant to allow Cole to post the letter online but he eventually relented after the rapper argued that it would show just how much he wants to play in the league.

"I would do this with the sole mission of getting your defense ready each week," the letter said. "If I were able to fill this role for the team, I believe this allows for multiple things."

Kaepernick proceeded to list the benefits of having him on the team arguing that Rodgers' replacement, Zach Wilson, would be well served given that it would allow the defense to get a "truer read" on a more mobile quarterback.

"1. It gives your Defense, the advantage of getting a truer read on the more mobile/athletic/versatile quarterbacks it will face when in weeks 4, 5 and 6 ([Patrick] Mahomes, [Russell] Wilson, and [Jalen] Hurts). I would consider it a privilege to be able to do this and would take on this responsibility with the dedication and passion as if it were the QB1 position.

2. This would also allow you guys as an organization to take a real look at where I’m at football wise, in game-like situations against an elite defense, while also not putting any competitive pressure on Zach. I understand the importance of keeping him confident and focused as QB1, and I would only look to boost that confidence in any interactions that we may have if I was given this role within the team."

The former quarterback also added that his addition to the team on the practice field would give him the ability to be assessed by the Jets and potentially kept on for the long term.

As Colin Kaepernick continues to attempt to get back into football, it seems like the Canadians are the last ones willing to give him a chance.

Awesome! He'll fit right in up there with that socialist regime, maybe he can get Trudeau to get in a blackface flag kneel with him

This man is the reason I no longer follow the NFL or enjoy watching football on TV. In fact, since these people disrespected our flag & National Anthem--I have stopped following all sports!
