Churches are straying away from God after one Dallas service held a ritual that had attendees reciting a pledge to “divine diversity” and the drag community while talking about how “powerful and resilient” they are.
The service was held on Sunday at the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas and had a video shared on their Facebook page showing the patron's mindless chanting of the words. The post read, “The term 'family values' has for so long been code language to support misogyny, homophobia, bigotry, and many other ways of hate and exclusion...Take a journey as we explore values that move towards healthy families, meaningful connections, strong communities, and to see the good news of radical love and mercy embodied in us and our beloved Cathedral of Hope," per Newsweek.
The chant the crowd said was “We commit ourselves to be people of faith who stand for justice, proclaim love, and defend the rights of all people.”
A church service member then spoke alone, saying, “We recognize that all people are made in the loving image of God no matter who they are, how they dress, express themselves, or who they love.” The crowd came back in, continuing with, “We celebrate this divine diversity and commit to lifting up the voice of the LGBTQ+ community and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.” Another service member spoke alone next, saying, “Drag queens are often targets of hate and violence but we know that they are powerful and resilient people who show us what it means to be truly authentic and expressive.” Once again, the mindless crowd returns, saying, “We honor their strength and we pledge to be allies to the drag community, recognizing their full humanity and their incredible contributions to our world. We embrace radical inclusivity and work to dismantle systems of oppression. We will fight against all forms of hate, prejudice, and intolerance and work to build a world that affirms and celebrates every person’s unique identity and gifts.” The service had drag queens in attendance as well as Pride flags flown throughout the entire building. This is far from the first church to hold such a display with a New York City church holding a ‘God is Trans’ exhibit back in May, pushing many of the same far-left ideologies into the Christian faith, per the DC Enquirer. The service is a complete departure from the Christian faith which very clearly takes a stance against the LGBTQ+ ideology. While the message of encouraging love and not hate follows the teaching of Jesus Christ, never once does the Bible encourage people to affirm mental illness and genital mutilation that is promoted by transgenderism. Numerous times it does the very opposite. What occurred was the priests straying from their faith and forcing their political views onto the patrons of the church. They developed a false Christendom and built their own cult around it while trying to claim they were the same.
