In a victory for 45th President and leading 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attempted to launch his 2024 presidential campaign via a live interview on Twitter with CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday, but failed miserably.
Sadly for DeSantis, the Twitter Space left over 600,000 listeners initially in a choppy, silence infested mess. Many listeners weren’t able to even join the Twitter Space.
After 30 minutes of failure, only 170,000 listeners remained.
President Trump announced on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, “I will shortly be putting out two videos on Truth Social. I think you will enjoy them. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
“DeSanctimonious raised much of his money during his run for Governor, which in theory cannot be used for his current “escapade,” and before his poll numbers tanked - and wow(!) did they tank,” Trump added.
Trump’s sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., reacted to the failure on Twitter, writing, “#DeSaster.”
DeSantis canceled plans to give a traditional launch to his campaign, opting for the Twitter space.
Earlier on Wednesday, it was revealed DeSantis officially filed his Federal Election Commission paperwork to enter the race for the 2024 presidential election.
Compare DeSantis' failure to Donald Trump, a legendary man known for shattering attendance records, overflowing his Mar-A-Lago club, the streets of West Palm Beach, Florida, and online livestreams with a massive audience of supporters after his arrest.
Videos show the Mar-A-Lago ballroom the event was held in packed to the brim.
Not only that, either! Thousands of more Trump supporters flooded the streets of West Palm Beach, Florida to greet Trump as he returned from New York.
Over one-million-people watched Trump’s speech live online, as well. Over 80,000 people watched the speech on Fox News’s YouTube livestream, 50,000 people watched the speech on NBC’s YouTube livestream, another 50,000 people watched the speech via a livestream on Rumble from Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, 165,000 people watched the speech via Trump’s Rumble, and over 400,000 people watched the speech via Right Side Broadcasting (RSBN)’s coverage on Rumble.
These numbers don’t include the viewership reports from cable TV channels.
