On Sunday, presumptive Republican nominee Donald J. Trump accepted the National Rifle Association's (NRA) endorsement during a speech before the NRA's Leadership Forum in Dallas, Texas. "And thank you very much for that endorsement -- it means a lot to me. As you know, In 2016, we got that endorsement, but we got it, and we've got it again, and we've lived up to everything, as you know, everything I've said. We're under siege, with the rifles and the guns and everything else you know, but they didn't move us an inch. We have to stand strong," Trump began.
"The NRA has stood with me from the very beginning, and with your vote, I will stand for your rights and liberties, and with four more years in the White House, we are going to do things that you cannot believe. We are going to turn our country around. We are going to, quite simply, make America great again," he said, laying out his truly patriotic and America First agenda.
Donald J. Trump has been a strong supporter of the Second Amendment since his first run in 2016, and his agenda is truly constitutional, centered on the rights afforded to us by our Creator. These rights include a vital prerogative to hold government tyranny in check -- a right deemed absolutely essential to our founding. Moreover, humans have a right to defend our lives and property—of which self-preservation is an absolutely integral and essential part. As such, if Republicans sell their agenda and effectively criticize the Biden administration's America Last and inhuman policies on the Second Amendment, the sky is the limit for Republicans in 2024 -- and our nation may very well depend on it.
The 45th president then called on all gun owners to throw their support behind his candidacy in 2024, saying that in doing so, they would send a powerful message to Washington and the rest of America about their right to bear arms. "But one thing I will say, and I say it as friends, we have got to get gun owners to vote ... If gun owners voted, we would swamp them at levels that nobody has ever seen before. So, I think you are a rebellious bunch. Let's be rebellious and vote this time, okay," Trump added, as previously reported by Newsmax.
In turn, Trump reacted to the speech on Truth Social, "THANK YOU VERY MUCH! IT WAS A TRUE HONOR TO BE IN DALLAS, TEXAS, TO RECEIVE THE ENDORSEMENT OF THE PROUD AMERICAN PATRIOTS AT THE NRA!"
