On Wednesday, 45th President Donald J. Trump threw down the gauntlet, calling on Joe Biden to debate the merits of his agenda in a nationally televised event. Indeed, Donald Trump did not stop there—the presumptive Republican nominee gave President Biden the prerogative of picking which outlet would host the occasion and which group would run it.
"It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People," Trump posted to his Truth Social. "Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE! The Debates can be run by the Corrupt DNC, or their Subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to receiving a response. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" While Trump has historically had issues with the media bias of presidential debates, it appears he is willing to subject himself to their influence once more for the good of the nation, as he has so often done before. After all, when you have both a patriotic agenda and the argumentative force of Donald J. Trump, the facts have a good shot of winning the hearts and minds of the viewers, no matter who decides to platform the discussion.
This comes after Donald Trump announced a play-by-play of Biden's State of the Union Address over Truth Social yesterday, allowing Trump to contrast the merits of their policy suggestions. While Trump consistently puts America First, Biden consistently puts our nation and her interests last. While Joe Biden is pulling Americans apart, Donald Trump used his State of the Union addresses to unite our people, focusing on monumental achievements like Space Force and other bipartisan interests. The contrast could not be clearer.
Fortunately for patriotic Americans, Trump remains a potent force to win the presidency in 2024. The Real Clear Politics polling average has him besting Joe Biden in nationwide polling in recent months, despite the fact that Republican presidential candidates can generally afford to underperform in the popular vote while still winning the election - as they did in 2000 and 2016. As such, it stands to reason that the radical, far-left Democrats would use any means necessary to gain a much-needed political advantage - including indicting their most likely political opponent. But if Republicans sell their agenda and effectively criticize the Biden administration's America Last policies, the sky is the limit for Republicans in 2024 -- and our nation may very well depend on it.
