Elise Stefanik Releases Explosive Statement Following News Of Jack Smith's Upcoming Indictment Of Donald Trump

On Tuesday, New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) released a statement following the latest indictment from Special Counsel Jack Smith against 45th President and leading Republican presidential contender Donald J. Trump.

"This shameful witch hunt against President Trump by Joe Biden's corrupt Department of Justice is just the latest chilling chapter in the Far Left's unAmerican weaponization of the justice system against their leading political opponent," Stefanik said. "It is not surprising that just one day before House Republicans are expected to hear from highly credible IRS whistleblowers about how Biden's DOJ illegally interfered in the investigation into Hunter Biden with a 'Delay, Divulge, and Deny' campaign that they would baselessly target President Trump again."

This comes after Jack Smith pressed charges against Trump, alleging he played some role in the events that transpired on January 6, 2021. The left has been out to get Trump for some time, and this is just the latest move in their witchhunt to stop the 45th president and leading Republican presidential contender.

"On Tuesday morning, 45th President Donald Trump announced that he will be indicted by Biden Department of Justice special counsel Jack Smith for the January 6th Capitol Riot. Trump made the announcement on Truth Social and explained that he has four days to report to the Grand Jury," the DC Enquirer previously reported.

Stefanik continued, saying, "The American people are smart. They understand that Joe Biden's Department of Justice continues to target his leading political opponent for the White House. President Trump continues to skyrocket in the polls, and just like with the Russia hoax, both sham impeachments, both sham arrests, President Trump will defeat this latest witch-hunt, defeat Joe Biden, and will be sworn in as President of the United States of America in January 2025."

Trump himself reacted to the news this morning on Truth Social, saying, "Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden's DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and indictment," the leading Republican candidate explained, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.
