On Monday during her daily press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre uttered a few lines that even the most far-left elements of the mainstream media couldn’t permit to pass unanswered. Jean-Pierre, while addressing questions from the reporters about why President Joe Biden doesn’t generally hold formal press conferences or take their questions, made the blatantly false claim that it is “unprecedented that a president takes as many shouted questions as this president has.”
The first of two interactions began with a reporter asking Jean-Pierre, “Why can’t the president take questions from the press?”
She replied, “Right now, we just don’t have anything on the books for a press conference at this moment; the president always loves to take your questions, shouted questions.”

Other reporters soon chimed in, according to The Washington Free Beacon, when KJP stated that Biden answers an “unprecedented” number of questions from the press.
“This is not the norm. The norm is we do get an opportunity to ask questions,” a reporter objected. But she doubled-down that it’s “unprecedented that a president takes as many shouted questions as this president has.”
According to the Free Beacon, Biden has held a record-breaking low number of press conferences, citing findings from the University of California Santa Barbara that Biden held approximately 21 total press briefings in the two and a half years since he took office.
By comparison, President Donald Trump took the same number in a single year. The outlet noted that Biden has given less than a quarter of the interviews that Trump did in the same period.
As reported by The New York Post in mid-March, when Biden does take questions from reporters they are typically insubstantial at best. The outlet noted one example on Feb. 10 when he declined to host a joint press conference with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
He only took questions while walking past reporters on his way to the helicopter to his Delaware home providing a one-word answer regarding the then-raging, banking crisis and agreeing with an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin saying he, “clearly committed war crimes.”
That Thursday he answered the mounting allegations against his son Hunter, brother James, daughter-in-law Hallie and an unnamed Biden profiting from China with three whole words: “That’s not true.”
