Ex-Biden Nuclear Official, Deemed A 'Fugitive From Justice', Captured By Police

Sam Brinton, the disgraced former Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Nuclear Energy, a self-described "nonbinary" LGBTQ+ activist appointed by President Joe Biden likely more for his ESG value than his actual competence, was arrested Wednesday after being deemed a "fugitive from justice," according to reports.

Brinton's neighbor reportedly told The Daily Wire, "Four unmarked police showed up last night, they would not let his spouse Kevin leave. After about an hour Sam Brinton was escorted out in handcuffs."

According to the outlet, Rob Yingling speaking for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) told reporters that airport police "executed a search warrant May 17 in Montgomery County, Maryland, in connection with allegations of stolen property in luggage from Reagan National Airport that was brought to the department’s attention in February 2023. With the assistance of Montgomery County Police, Samuel Otis Brinton, age 35, of Rockville, Maryland, was taken into custody Wednesday pending charges of Grand Larceny."

Libs of TikTok aka Chaya Raichik tweeted the story with a quip, " If only there had been some warning signs…"

Amuse of Politique Republic reported that Brinton is being held without bail with a tweet, "TOO MUCH BAGGAGE: Biden's former top nuclear official Sam Brinton (they/them) has been brought to justice. On Wednesday Maryland Police were able to apprehend Brinton after he was declared a “fugitive from justice". He is in jail without bail."

Brinton, who was charged with administrating the disposal of dangerous nuclear waste throughout the nation, was ousted from his post after multiple charges of luggage theft came to light revealing that the nuclear engineer seems to have a habit of stealing women's clothes. He plead "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge in April for a theft at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after first being charged with a felony that was later pleaded down with $3,500 of restitution and a suspended sentence of 180-days if he didn't re-offend.

Prior to the Las Vegas case, he was also charged with stealing a woman's baggage from Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. Daily Wire wrote that Brinton appeared before a Montgomery County Judge Thursday and was ordered to be extradited to Virginia despite his attorney appealing for release and later surrender in Virginia.

“Mr. Britton is a nuclear engineer, he is married,” the public defender said according to Daily Wire, and notably not using Brinton's well-publicized, preferred 'They/Them' pronouns. “He works for GeoFission, a nuclear startup. He believes if he is released to turn himself in [to Virginia], he can keep his job… I believe the allegation is stolen luggage.”

However, Judge Victor Del Pino wasn't moved and even referred to the defendant with the correct titular prefix 'mister', “I will deny the request to turn himself in. Virginia will pick him up. Good luck in Virginia, Mr. Brinton.”

It appears that for the time being Brinton's proper mode of address will be 'prisoner.'
