'That Is Absolutely Not My Account': Watch Whistleblower Humiliate Democrat During Hearing, GOP Mocks Lawmaker After Attempted Gotcha

The hearing with the three FBI whistleblowers on Thursday probably did not go as Representative Linda Sanchez (D-CA) intended it to. On the stand, she tried to set up one of the witnesses by implying that a Twitter account with the same name as the whistleblower was his and that the tweet represented the witness's view. The witness, Marcus Allen, shared that "[t]hat is absolutely not my account" with the congresswoman, according to Just the News

Representative Sanchez started out her examination of Marcus Allen by inquiring whether he used Twitter. "I have utilized Twitter, yes ma'am," declared Allen. She then asked him if his account was Marcus Allen followed by a series of numbers. Allen then said, "That is absolutely not my account." She acknowledged this by saying "Okay, that's not your account" but then proceeded to ask him about a tweet from the account. She said "Well, on December 5, 2022, an account under the name Marcus Allen retweeted a tweet that said quote..."

The witness interrupted to try to helpfully reemphasize that "That's not my account, ma'am." The congresswoman was slightly flustered and responded by saying, "You haven't let me finish the question, sir...You haven't let me finish the question and the time is mine. On December 5, 2022, an account under the name of Marcus Allen retweeted a tweet that said, 'Nancy Pelosi staged January 6. Retweet if you agree.' Do you agree with that statement, yes or no?"

Allen reiterated that this was not his account and that this statement was not made by him and that he did not agree with the statement by the doppelganger account. Special Agent Marcus Allen was there in Congress to voice concerns that Christopher Wray's previous testimony before Congress about January 6th may not have been accurate and to detail how the FBI retaliated against him for raising his concerns and whistleblowing. Allen thought "there was a good possibility" that the FBI and other law enforcement had infiltrated groups like the Proud Boys in advance of the January 6th riot.

The House Judiciary GOP Twitter account had a sense of humor about the mistaken identification of a Twitter account by the Californian Democrat. The account put up a screenshot of a Twitter account with the same name as the Congresswoman and tweeted "Didn’t realize @RepLindaSanchez was so MAGA. Wow!" The screenshot showed the doppelganger Linda Sanchez enthusiastically tweeting to the world that "Donald Trump is the greatest President of my lifetime!"

It seems like in her attempt to humiliate the witness, she instead made a fool of herself.
