Who Should Be Trump's VP?: EXPLOSIVE New Poll Shows Donald Trump Running Away With The Republican Nomination, Dominating DeSantis

On Monday, a new poll published by the New York Times/Siena College Polls finds that 45th President Donald J. Trump is still leading the Republican field by a sizable margin as the race to the Republican presidential primaries inches ever closer.

"Former President Donald J. Trump is dominating his rivals for the Republican presidential nomination, leading his nearest challenger, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, by a landslide 37 percentage points nationally among the likely Republican primary electorate, according to the first New York Times/Siena College poll of the 2024 campaign," the poll finds.

The poll, conducted between July 23-27, shows the 45th president with a commanding 54 percent of the vote among Republican primary voters. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) follows far behind, only managing to grab 17 percent of voter support. Meanwhile, former Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN), Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley (R-SC) are all tied with three percent of the vote. Moreover, while Vivek Ramaswamy has generated serious momentum in recent polling, the New York Times Sienna poll only shows him with two percent of the vote, tied with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ).

The demographic data surrounding the poll also favored President Trump. The New York Times found that "Mr. Trump held decisive advantages across almost every demographic group and region and in every ideological wing of the party, the survey found, as Republican voters waved away concerns about his escalating legal jeopardy. He led by wide margins among men and women, younger and older voters, moderates and conservatives, those who went to college and those who didn’t, and in cities, suburbs and rural areas."

The poll finds that Ron DeSantis did far worse among 'very conservative' voters -- losing to Trump 65 percent to 15 percent. The poll also uncovers that if all other candidates dropped out of the race -- leaving just Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump -- the Florida governor would still lose big league. In a hypothetical one-on-one matchup, Trump's share of the Republican vote only grows. The 45th president finds himself with 61 percent of voter support in a hypothetical matchup, with DeSantis managing to draw 31 percent of Republican support.

This poll reveals what we already knew- this is Donald J. Trump's race to lose. His presidential acumen and experience have continued to resonate with Republican voters, and the Ultra-MAGA agenda -- his calling card -- is still popular with the conservative base of the Republican Party. As Trump continues to dominate the race for the Repulibcan nomination, the question of who he will pick as his vice president comes to everyone's mind.

It appears that the leading Republican candidate is already considering his options with a post on Truth Social over the weekend signaling as such.

"Let them debate so I can see who I MIGHT consider for Vice President!" Trump wrote.
