A recent survey released by the Economist/YouGov shows leading Republican presidential contender and 45th President Donald J. Trump besting Joe Biden following his high-profile arrest in Fulton County, Georgia, last Thursday.
The survey covers the period ranging from August 26th through August 29th. The poll shows Donald J. Trump grabbing 44 percent of the vote in a hypothetical 2024 general election matchup with Joe Biden.
In what amounts to very bad news for Biden, the Democrat president only manages to grab 43 percent in the hypothetical matchup. Moreover, 65 percent of those polled believe Joe Biden is a weak leader -- including 41 percent who think Biden is very weak. An impressive 56 percent of those polled believe Trump is a strong leader -- and it is easy to see why. His robust America First vision for America is truly unrivaled, and we, the people, are here for it!
The poll is also great news for Donald Trump's race to secure the Republican presidential nomination. From those polled, 51 percent of voters would support Trump if the Republican primary in their state if the election were held today. Only 15 percent said the same about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) -- Trump's next closest competitor. No other nominee managed to break 10 percent.
Even with recent indictments, Trump has managed to be a unifying figure for Republicans, and voters are rallying around the 45th president in record numbers. As such, Trump is in as strong of a position with Republican voters as ever -- his numbers are even more impressive than they were in 2016. Trump is still the decisive leader in the Republican field, and he and his campaign show no signs of slipping up. The MAGA movement is thriving, and Republican voters continue to appreciate Trump's America First vision for the nation at large. If other Republicans want to bridge the gap between them and Trump, they will need to change their strategy big league.
More impressively, Trump remains a potent force to win the presidency in 2024 -- and this poll indicates that much. The Real Clear Politics polling average has Biden and Trump neck and neck in most surveys. As such, it stands to reason that the radical, far-left Democrats would use any means necessary to gain a much-needed political advantage -- including indicting their most likely political opponent.
All in all, Trump is on a quest to save America, and patriotic Americans all over the nation are throwing their support behind his bid to take back the White House from the radicals in the Democratic Party -- headed by Joe Biden himself.
