Former Capitol Police Lieutenant Tells All, Says He Thinks Every Officer At January 6 Was 'Set-Up'

On Sunday, former Capitol Police Lieutenant Tarik Johnson took to Twitter, arguing that every officer responding to January 6 was 'set-up' by Capitol Police Head of Intelligence Yogananda Pittman, who served as acting Chief of the United States Capitol Police from January 8 to July 23, 2021.

"EVERY demonstrator and EVERY police officer there on J6 was set-up. This is why I say all the officers and demonstrators need to call a truce and focus on Pittman’s failures," Johnson wrote.

This comes after a Capitol Police whistleblower revealed that Yogananda Pittman did little to try and protect protestors and officers during the events that transpired on January 6th, 2021.

As the Daily Beast previously reported, the whistleblower wrote, “What I observed was them mostly sitting there, blankly looking at the TV screens showing real time footage of officers and officials fighting for the Congress and their lives… It is my allegation that these two with intent and malice opted to not try and assist the officers and officials, blame others for the failures, and chose to try and use this event for their own personal promotions.

As Johnson himself tweeted, "I will never forget on J6 BEGGING on the radio for Pittman to help me as so many other officers were as the demonstrators were pouring into the building. My thoughts were 'Why won’t Pittman help us?' and 'Why is she ignoring me?' I’m still waiting for those answers. The radio transmissions are public now. Maybe one of you can give me answers when you listen. To me it seemed as if she was allowing it to happen."

Johnson continued, saying, "USCP Chief J. Thomas Manger is protecting Pittman like a lion protects her cubs even after all the death and destruction Pittman’s actions caused on J6. Manger is effectively spitting in the eyes of everyone there that day to include the families of Officer Brian Sicknick and Ashli Babbitt and the sad part is he won’t even provide a handkerchief. Shame on you sir but I will still pray that God has mercy on your soul.

When one Twitter user argued that some officers were aware of the 'set-up', Johnson responded, "You are wrong. Every officer was totally blindsided. If Pitman or someone else wanted this to happen you would have to make sure no officer knew so it wouldn’t get back to Sund or Chad Thomas (Operation’s Commander). The Intel Pittman had would have given Sund what he needed to get National Guard approval and Thomas could have prepared the line officer for what they were about to face. Then J6 would not have happened."

If these remarks are factual, we the people demand action; corruption demands government accountability. And if Pittman could have prevented January 6th, 2021 from transpiring all Americans, no matter their political affiliation, should concur with that sentiment.
