Fox News Exposed: Leak Reveals The Company's Decline Into Wokeness On 'Gender Identity, Transitions, Pronouns'

Just weeks after the historic fallout between Fox News Channel and its former top-rated prime-time host Tucker Carlson, a new bombshell has dropped on what was once the foremost conservative news outlet in the Western world. A Fox News handbook reportedly obtained by the Daily Signal dated January 2021 outlines the company's policies regarding gender identity and employee sexuality that one would expect to find at an avowedly leftist corporation.

According to the Daily Signal exclusive from Mary Margaret Olohan cited by The Daily Caller, an outlet co-founded by Carlson, Fox also offered to assist its employees in crafting a "Workplace Transition Plan" to facilitate gender transition in the company. The news outlet's editorial policies regarding language that conveys legitimacy to "gender-affirming care" and its continued use of female pronouns to refer to biological males have drawn serious criticism from viewers, readers, and conservative figures.

The Daily Signal in particular cited the outlet's references to trans activist Dylan Mulvaney and swimmer Lia Thomas with female pronouns despite both confirmably being biological males. The outlet wrote Monday that current and former Fox employees spoke to reporters under anonymity.

According to an employee identified by Daily Signal as a former producer for 'Tucker Carlson Tonight', "They want you to think it’s this place that supports traditionally conservative values. But in reality, they’re pushing this nonsense behind the scenes."

A source still employed by Fox told the outlet that following the cancellation of 'Tucker Carlson Tonight' and the network's very public split with its then-top host, producers of the show's replacement 'Fox News Tonight' were warned "not to bash Mulvaney," according to Daily Signal. The order reportedly came down from on-high, straight from Fox's top executives, the source said.

But the proof is in the pudding, here are a few excerpts from the handbook obtained by The Daily Signal:
  • Under "Gender Transition" the handbook assures employees of the company's dedication to "expanding and strengthening" endeavors to "sustain a more inclusive work environment."
  • “Employees who are transitioning their gender have the right to be open about their transition if they so choose, and to work in an environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation, and without fear of consequences or transphobia for living openly,” the policy says.
  • The handbook says that employees are encouraged to "inform and educate" colleagues regarding their 'transition'. And emphasizes that such employees may find the experience "stressful and trying," adding that "with advance preparation, the road for someone to be able to express their true self can be made smoother.”
  • Regarding the aforementioned "Workplace transition plan" the policy promises to deliver these employees, the handbook says "During the initial and any subsequent meetings, you and the Company should develop and maintain a Workplace Transition Plan. This Plan will outline the steps that need to be taken to ensure a successful transition at work."
  • The policy notes explicitly that employees "may access the restroom corresponding to their gender identity," tacitly surrendering women's spaces at the company to use by biological men.
  • The policy adds, “If a transitioning employee expresses a desire for increased privacy they will be provided access to a single occupancy restroom where available,” the handbook says. “However, no employee shall be required to use a single occupancy restroom if they do not wish to do so.”

The Daily Signal's source, who formerly worked for Fox, gave a strong criticism of the news organization for airing "hours of programming attacking companies for having leftist policies." Even though, "Fox is no different," the former employee added. "It’s a standard American mega-corporation with all the same types of policies and employees as those other companies."

The former Tucker Carlson producer cited by the outlet indicated that during coverage of any news regarding activist Dylan Mulvaney, the producers battled their higher-ups to refer to him with male pronouns in onscreen chyrons.

The team on Tucker Carlson's show also repeatedly lobbied to host The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh regarding the trans agenda but received pushback from Fox's top brass due to his public opposition to transgender activism, though this could've also been due to Fox's view of Daily Wire as a competitor.

TUCKER CARLSON SET TO RELEASE NEW BIOGRAPHY THAT WILL GIVE INSIDER INFO ON HIS FOX NEWS CAREER AND FIRING

Walsh tweeted Monday, "As @MaryMargOlohan reports for the Daily Signal, Fox News is fully woke on trans ideology. I‘ve been personally blacklisted from appearing on the network because of my stance on the issue. This is confirmed by DS and I’ve heard it off the record from Fox producers. It gets worse. Fox’s handbook codifies trans ideology into official company policy. Trans-identified employees can use the bathroom of their choice and their coworkers are required to respect their pronouns..."

In threaded replies, he added, "Tucker fought behind the scenes against my blacklisting, and even managed to have me on a few times over the past year. But now that he’s gone, there’s no stopping Fox’s march leftward. And now there is zero daylight between Fox and MSNBC on the trans issue. Fox needs to get the full Bud Light treatment. They are actively working to suppress conservative voices while promoting leftism in its most radical form. Enough is enough."
