Fox’s King Of Late Night Greg Gutfeld Bucks His Network And Defends Tucker Carlson Following Departure

Fox News‘s top-rated late-night host Greg Gutfeld seemed to break from his network’s obvious ‘no comment’ stance on Tucker Carlson’s recent departure when he leaped to the defense of his former colleague Wednesday.

In another chapter of the ongoing on-air feud between Gutfeld and long-time anti-Trump, establishment Republican co-host Geraldo Rivera, Gutfeld replied to a tweet from Rivera with scorn after he posted some cutting remarks about Carlson.

Rivera tweeted, “I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt – as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was ‘bullsh*t,’” referring to Carlson’s groundbreaking exposé of the January 6th Capital Riot that publicly annihilated the Democrats biased narrative of the events that day.

He added, “Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process,” despite the accusations of the 45th President Donald Trump “inciting” the riot being fully and repeatedly debunked.

Gutfeld responded to the post sharply writing, “You’re a class act, Geraldo. A real man of the people.”

During an episode of ‘The Five’ Monday, Gutfeld joked that Carlson will run for president in 2024.

“And then so in 2024, it’ll be Susan Rice versus Tucker Carlson,” Gutfeld quipped.

As noted by Conservative Brief, most of the co-hosts didn’t say a word for a moment.

“Dana Perino took a sip of her drink, Jason Chaffetz laughed, and Jeanine Pirro immediately moved on.”

“Ok,” Pirro said, audibly stumbling and fighting a giggle, pivoting to tease the next segment and go to commercial.

It was a telling scene, and Gutfeld’s exchange with Rivera made it even clearer. The late-night host is standing up for his longtime colleague, and Gutfeld seems to be standing alone.
