WATCH: Democrat Governor Hochul Says New York Will House Migrants In The Streets - We've Reached 'A Breaking Point'

On Monday, the New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) announced on MSNBC that New York City has “reached a breaking point,” and that the city will begin to shelter migrants in tents on the streets of the city.

The announcement can’t come as a major surprise, as New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) has already announced the possibility that they would be housing the migrants in the streets, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer. Adams has already stated that nothing is off the table in terms of housing the migrants, so while shutting down streets to keep illegals in tents may sound like an apocalyptic film plot, it’s very much a reality to New York City.

Gov. Hochul asked specifically for the federal government to provide military installations to house the illegals in, saying, “I’m asking for federal installations, like military installations.” Apparently, the federal government's money is just a piggy bank for the state of New York to use to house migrants that shouldn’t even be within the country to begin with.

The governor also appears to not care about the appearence of the city of New York, stating, “You’re gonna start seeing people living in tents not just on the border, but in the streets of New York, and across New York state because we’ve reached a breaking point.” It would seem the declining state of California, with the homeless overwhelming the streets and driving people out of the cities is of no concern to Gov. Hochul.

Hochul has already made moves to attempt to quell the surge of illegals flooding the state, issuing a state of emergency that gave $1 billion to the city of New York, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer. The governor isn’t seeming to understand that the problem doesn’t lie in the amount of money they spend, or how much money they siphon from American taxpayers, but instead the very idea of housing illegal immigrants in this country using taxpayer money.

New York City already has a homeless problem and an aggressive homeless problem at that. Instead of Hochul putting forth the effort to address the American citizens that suffer from homelessness in the Big Apple, she has pushed to allow even more people to flood the streets. Albany seems to show no concern over helping American citizens in crisis but instead plans to worsen the safety of the city if it means housing illegals in its streets.
