'Harry Potter' Author J.K. Rowling Takes A Courageous Stand Against Adopting The 'Jargon' Of Gender Ideology - 'The Rest Of Us Have A Right To Disagree'

Last Wednesday, 'Harry Potter' author J.K. Rowling took a courageous stand against using the term 'cisgender' -- which she feels commits one to the existence of 'unprovable essences' and a dubious ideology.

"'Cis' is ideological language, signifying belief in the unfalsifiable concept of gender identity. You have a perfect right to believe in unprovable essences that may or may not match the sexed body, but the rest of us have a right to disagree, and to refuse to adopt your jargon," Rowling wrote.

For context, Merriam-Webster defines 'cisgender' as "of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity corresponds with the sex the person had or was identified as having at birth." The basic gist of Rowling's tweet is that the transgender movement is bigotted -- forcing a specific theory of reality upon all those who oppose its precepts. 

Twitter owner Elon Musk promptly agreed with this take, writing, "Exactly"

Rowling has been called a Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF). Indeed, she has criticized the trans movement for some time, writing in 2019, "Dress however you please. Call yourself whatever you like. Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you. Live your best life in peace and security. But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real? #IStandWithMaya #ThisIsNotADrill"

In this case, Rowling was replying to writer and commentator James Esses, who wrote on Twitter, "Yesterday, after posting a Tweet saying that I reject the word ‘cis’ and don’t wish to be called it, I receive a slew of messages from trans activists calling me “cissy” and telling me that I am ‘cis’ 'whether or not I like it'.Just imagine if the roles were reversed."

This prompted Twitter owner Elon Musk to write, "Repeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions. The words 'cis' or 'cisgender' are considered slurs on this platform."

To this, Esses replied, "Thank you for standing up for reality Elon!"

Rowling, Musk, and Esses refuse to submit to the precepts of a Marxist ideology. For that, they deserve tremendous praise. Gender ideology is corrosive, and it has no anchor in reality.
