HUGE: Trump Secures Biggest Property Tax Cut In History For Texans - 'I LOVE TEXAS!'

Even though the leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump is out of office, he has still managed to help Texas accomplish the largest property tax cut in history for over 5.7 million Texas homeowners.

"BIG win for 5.7 million TEXAS homeowners," Trump announced in a post on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday.

"I joined my friend, Lt. Gov Dan Patrick, in supporting his $100,000 homestead exemption, knowing it was the best policy for TEXAS homeowners," Trump added.

"I fully endorsed it, and told all House members to support it — Dan Patrick stood firm and we won! SB 2 by Sen. Bettencourt is the biggest property tax cut in American history. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone. I LOVE TEXAS," Trump wrote.

Recently, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (R) and House Speaker Dade Phelan (R) announced they have reached a historic deal that will deliver "the biggest property tax cut in Texas history."

If passed, the legislation would cut over $18 billion in taxes.

"Speaker Phelan and I worked diligently together over the last week on the final bill. It made the difference. It may have taken overtime, but the process has produced a great bill for homeowners and businesses," Patrick wrote in a statement.

The legislation will give a $100,000 homestead exemption to every Texas homeowner who homesteads their home, which is over 5.7 million residents.

"Non-homesteaded properties, valued at $5 million and under, including residential and commercial properties, will receive a 20% circuit breaker on appraised values as a 3-year pilot project," according to a report from Fox 4 News.

Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) applauded the bill, writing in a statement, "I promised during my campaign that the state would return to property taxpayers at least half of the largest budget surplus we have ever had."

"Today's agreement between the House and the Senate is a step toward delivering on that promise. I look forward to this legislation reaching my desk, so I can sign into law the largest property tax cut in Texas history," Abbott added.
