‘I DID NOTHING WRONG’: Trump Blasts DOJ For Targeting Him But Not The Deep State - ‘GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!’

On Monday, 45th President and leading 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed the Department of Justice (DOJ) for reportedly planning to make an imminent decision on charging him in the documents case as “THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!”

In a post on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, “HOW CAN DOJ POSSIBLY CHARGE ME, WHO DID NOTHING WRONG, WHEN NO OTHER PRESIDENTS WERE CHARGED, WHEN JOE BIDEN WON’T BE CHARGED FOR ANYTHING, INCLUDING THE FACT THAT HE HAS 1,850 BOXES, MUCH OF IT CLASSIFIED, AND SOME DATING BACK TO HIS SENATE DAY WHEN EVEN DEMOCRAT SENATORS ARE SHOCKED."

“ALSO, PRESIDENT CLINTON HAD DOCUMENTS, AND WON IN COURT. CROOKED HILLARY DELETED 33,000 EMAILS, MANY CLASSIFIED, AND WASN’T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING CHARGED! ONLY TRUMP - THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME,” Trump added.

On Monday at 10 a.m., Trump's attorneys, John Rowley, James Trusty, and Lindsey Halligan, were at the Department of Justice after requesting a meeting with top federal law enforcement officials, according to a CBS News report.

Trump’s lawyers stayed at the Department of Justice for “just under two hours” and Attorney General Merrick Garland did not attend the meeting.

"Trump's legal team is frustrated with how Justice Department officials have handled attorney-client matters in recent months and would likely raise their concerns on this front during Monday's meeting, in particular, prosecutors' discussions of related issues in front of the grand jury,” CBS News added.

On Sunday, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, “Reports are the Marxist Special Prosecutor, DOJ, & FBI, want to Indict me on the BOXES HOAX, despite all of the wrongdoing that they have done for SEVEN YEARS, including SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN.”

"Biden Crimes go unpunished, including that he had Boxes in Chinatown, in his garage by the 'Corvette,' & 1,850 Boxes in Delaware that he won’t allow anyone to see,” Trump added.

"That is real OBSTRUCTION! They seek retribution for Republicans looking into Biden's CRIMES! I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. ELECTION INTERFERENCE,” Trump continued.

In an op-ed by former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz on Substack, he concludes that a "[c]riminal indictment of former president has no legitimate basis."

“The bottom line is that if Mr. Trump or his lawyers allege — even without his testifying — that he declassified the documents, a criminal charge of unauthorized possession of classified documents will be difficult to prove. That doesn’t mean that a prosecutor could not get a grand jury to indict this particular ham sandwich. It does mean that it’s unlikely that a conviction against Mr. Trump would be sustainable,” Dershowitz writes.

“Based on what we know, we believe that there is no legitimate basis for a criminal indictment of Mr. Trump based on the material that was found at Mar-a-Lago,” Dershowitz concludes.
