WATCH: Despite Over 350 Days On Vacation, Joe Biden Says He Just Hasn't 'Been Able To Break' To Visit East Palestine

A whole 211 days after the disastrous trail derailment that took place in East Palestine, Ohio that spilled toxic sewage into the city’s water system and natural environment and 184 days since President Joe Biden promised that he would visit, he still has not due to “a lot going on.”

The Democrat made the statement during a press conference that took place in Live Oak, Florida, which he was visiting in the wake of Hurricane Idalia. The natural disaster hit the Sunshine State during the week. The storm is estimated to have caused somewhere in the range of $20 billion in damages to the southeastern United States, according to a report from Fox Weather.

During the presser, a reporter questioned the president's quick response to the disaster in Florida while having completely failed to visit the Ohio city numerous months after its respective disaster.

"Well, I haven't had the occasion to go to East Palestine," Biden responded. "There's a lot going on here, and I just haven't been able to break. I was thinking whether I'd go to East Palestine this week, but I was reminded I've got to go literally around the world. I'm going from Washington to India to Vietnam."

Biden may have immediately seen an issue with his response, adding that his administration would be “making sure that East Palestine has what they need materially in order to deal with their problems.”

Now, at first glance, his comments would seem reasonable as, yes, a lot is going on in the world right now. Of course, there’s the recent Hurricane Idalia, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, tensions with China, as well as a multitude of other issues that plague America. Perhaps another president could properly use this excuse, but Biden is not that president.

President Biden has taken a massive number of vacation days during his presidency, nearly reaching the total number of vacation days Trump took during his administration in only two-thirds of the time. So far, the aging president has spent a whopping 40 percent of his time in office on vacation, as previously covered by the DC Enquirer. He previously caught major flak for going on a week-long vacation to the luxurious Lake Tahoe right after the massive wildfire that took the lives of many and ruined the homes of many more.

So the idea that there was too much going on for him to ever visit East Palestine is a complete farce. The more realistic statement is that he simply isn’t concerned with the disaster that took place there as it’s a small town in rural Ohio and thus wouldn’t make good enough PR for the 2024 hopeful.

If the same train derailment occurred in an urban city in California, President Biden would have hopped on Air Force One immediately and arrived as soon as humanly possible. But ultimately, Biden simply doesn’t care about the average rural American as they don’t vote for him. To him, they’re simply less important than a weekend of sunbathing.
