Kamala Harris Claims She Has Faced More Media Scrutiny Than Other VPs While Being The Least Popular Vice President In History

On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris told Politico Playbook that she has faced more media scrutiny than any other vice president in the history of our nation.

“I think that that is the case. … It’s what it is. I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Oh, you know, it’s not fair,’ because, you know, I am not new to these things," Harris said, as previously reported by POLITICO.

The authors of the article appeared to concur with Harris's assessment, writing, "Since the beginning of the administration, Republicans have slammed the VP — a San Francisco Democrat who is also a woman of color, the daughter of immigrants, etc. — as a way to hurt the administration, something that hasn’t typically happened with other White House No. 2s."

Harris is certainly right about one thing -- she is among the least popular vice presidents in the history of the nation. As Axios reported in June, "49% of registered voters have a negative view of Vice President Kamala Harris, compared to 32% with a positive view, per a new NBC News poll... NBC News says Harris' net-negative rating of -17 is the lowest for a vice president in the history of its poll."

The American people have not taken kindly to Harris. After all, she has done nothing to protect our border, despite being Biden's appointed 'Border Czar.' The American people deserve a border we can rest assured in. Our border is one of our most treasured assets, and a nation without borders is a nation that lacks complete autonomy.

Perhaps Harris should try doing her job before she decides to opine on media scrutiny. After all, if the media did its job, there would be far more pressure, given the clear and present incompetence constituting the Biden administration at large. Whether it be the economy, the border, or foreign policy, the Biden administration has done little to assuage the concerns of patriotic voters all around America. 

Of course, many have blamed this increased scrutiny on Harris's status as a woman of color. Responding to the NBC News poll, Democrat Strategist Cornell Belcher said, "[It] shouldn't surprise anyone that there is going to be a different filter and a different focus put on the first woman to ever be Vice President of the United States, particularly a woman of color."

But the truth is far more transparent -- Kamala Harris is an incompetent vice president who has done nothing to help everyday Americans and that is reason enough for her clear unpopularity.
