Following the guilty verdict handed down by the 12-person Manhattan jury on Thursday against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, the 45th president's allies came to his aid by condemning the blatant politicization and weaponization of the justice system against the sitting president's main political opponent. One of those defenders was the Republican candidate for Texas' 26th Congressional District, Brandon Gill.
"President Trump will NEVER be stopped. Alvin Bragg is a rouge Democrat prosecutor who should be impeached. This is wrong, and a sad day for America. President Trump is innocent," Gill wrote on X following Trump's conviction. "The greatest threat to America's survival isn't Vladimir Putin or even Xi Jinping. It's not a hostile foreign nation or a terrorist group on the other side of the world. It's right here at home."
Gill didn't just use his words to defend the 45th president but also gave the maximum donation from his congressional campaign to support President Trump's campaign. "As the Republican nominee for Congress, I can confidently say TX-26 is MAGA country. We stand with President Trump," Gill wrote. "That's why tonight my campaign is sending him the maximum donation. I urge every single Republican candidate and officeholder across the country to do the same."
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the Trump campaign raised a record-breaking $34.8 million from small-dollar donors following the conviction. Trump campaign advisors Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita stated that nearly 30 percent of donors on Thursday evening were first-time givers.
"From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support, and despite temporary delays online because of the amount of traffic, President Trump raised $34.8 million dollars from small-dollar donors," they said. "Not only was the amount historic, but 29.7 percent of yesterday's donors were brand new donors to the WinRed platform. President Trump and our campaign are immensely grateful for this outpouring of support from patriots across our country. President Trump is fighting to save our nation, and November 5th is the day Americans will deliver the real verdict."
November 5th will prove to be a historic day in American history when President Trump retakes the White House after millions of his supporters take to the polls to voice their support for the former president. Brandon Gill, who has repeatedly stated that getting Trump elected in November is his top priority, has been at the forefront of the America First movement and will be helping lead the Texas delegation to the Republican National Convention.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Gill, who won the GOP primary outright against ten opponents in March, was one of 44 at-large delegates selected by the National Nominations Committee, chaired by Luke Macias. From July 15th to July 18th, Gill will join other at-large delegates, including prominent politicians and influential grassroots activists across the Lone Star State, to elect Donald Trump as the party's nominee. In addition to the at-large delegates and at-large alternates (88 in total), each of Texas' 38 congressional districts selected three delegates and three alternates.
In addition to being selected as an at-large delegate, delegates nominated Gill to help lead the delegation by awarding him a crucial role on the RNC's Credentials Committee. In this position, he will play a pivotal role in determining whether or not selections by delegates violate RNC rules. The committee is similar to an appeals court to the RNC's Committee on Contests.
Texas' next America First congressman has proven to be a fighter for President Trump. Like millions of Americans who donated to the Trump campaign, Gill sees through the lawfare orchestrated by left-wing prosecutors across the country and is willing to fight to take back Washington, D.C.
