On Tuesday, former First Lady Melania Trump sat down with Fox News Digital to explain that she fully supports her husband's presidential run and his, hopefully, eventual return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Mrs. Trump explained exclusively to Fox News Digital that she want to join her husband once again to work on "restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength."
"My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again," the former model said about her husband's leadership.
President Trump, who announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in November, is currently the frontrunner in every Republican primary poll making his path to his party's nomination an easy one.
"He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength," Melania explained.
During her tenure as first lady from 2017 to 2021, Mrs. Trump pursued various initiatives like 'Be Best' that sought to foster the development of children. Mrs. Trump emphasized that she wishes to continue these efforts if she were to return to the White House in 2025.
"My focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow, and thrive. If additional problems arise, I will take the time to study them and understand their root causes," she said about her future plans. "My goal would be to ensure that every child has the support and resources they need to reach their full potential."
In the meantime, however, she has taken a particular interest to foster children, founding 'Fostering the Future', which is an organization that gives scholarships to children aging out of foster care.
"Since leaving Washington D.C., my commitment to the foster community has grown stronger," she told Fox News Digital. "At the present time, there are more than 400,000 children in the foster care system, and there is less than a 3% chance of former foster children completing their college education. In fact, many end up on the street, homeless. My objective is to reduce the gap and increase access to higher education for those who leave the foster care system."
"I have faith that an education-based foundation will provide these individuals with the skills needed to secure employment and achieve financial stability," she added.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, recent polling has seen Trump beating President Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup as the aging Democrat suffers abysmal approval numbers from the American people.
Given these most recent poll numbers, it is becoming increasingly likely that President Trump will secure a second term in the White House in a 2024 rematch thus allowing Mrs. Trump to continue her initiatives and stand alongside her husband for four more years.
