On Friday evening, Real Clear Investigations Senior Reporter Paul Sperry revealed new evidence against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) in the current indictment against 45th President and leading Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump.
Sperry forwarded that DA Bragg currently has exculpatory evidence that would undermine his entire case given that it is built around the idea that Trump paid adult film “star” Stormy Daniels $130,000 in order to aid his 2016 campaign.
The reporter asserts, however, that this evidence shows that Trump did not intent to pay Daniels prior to Election Day 2016.
“Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg possesses exculpatory evidence showing Donald Trump did NOT INTEND to pay Stormy Daniels alleged hush money BEFORE the 2016 election, undercutting the prosecutor’s felony case that Trump falsified 2017 repayment records to benefit his campaign,” Sperry wrote on Twitter.

Currently Alvin Bragg’s case is built upon the idea that Trump deceived the American electorate by hiding the payment and also covering up a supposed other crime that Bragg has yet to account for.
This new evidence could, however, blow a hole straight through that argument and make it far more difficult for Bragg to prosecute President Trump.
Trump is currently facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records as Bragg pursues this shaky legal framework which many legal analysts have called weak at best.
As more time goes on, it is increasingly apparent that the case against Trump is more of a political persecution than an actual case that a judge could even seriously consider in court.
Given these facts, Republicans in Congress are taking action to hold Bragg and other politicized prosecutors like him accountable.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) took bold action by filing two pieces of legislation that would hold District Attorney Bragg accountable for the indictment of Donald Trump with the use of federal funds.
As reported by The Daily Caller, the two bills, called the “Accountability for Lawless Violence In Our Neighborhoods Act” or ALVIN Act and the “No Federal Funds for Political Prosecutions Act,” would force the DA’s office to pay back its federal funds and bar additional funding from being directed to the office.
“I just introduced legislation to hold DA Alvin Bragg accountable for failing to address lawlessness and for utilizing federal resources in the political prosecution of President Trump,” Biggs wrote about the legislation on Twitter. “I am defunding his Manhattan Office and requiring it to repay us.”

As Bragg’s case continues to weaken, it seems like he may have to deal with bigger problems after wadding into the waters of politics.
