New IRS Whistleblowers Allege Corruption In The IRS, DoJ, And FBI, As The Hunter Biden Probe Unfolded

This Thursday, the House Ways and Means Committee detailed alleged corruption in the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Justice Department, as the investigation into Hunter Biden transpired.

In a press release citing the testimony of two whistleblowers, the Committee writes, "A Ways and Means Committee executive meeting resulted in a vote to release to the public whistleblower testimony of two different IRS employees who worked directly on the tax evasion case of Hunter Biden. That testimony outlines misconduct and government abuse at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the investigation of Hunter Biden."

 "The allegations point to a steady campaign of: unequal treatment of enforcing tax law; Department of Justice (DOJ) interference in the form of delays, divulgences, and denials, into the investigation of tax crimes that may have been committed by the President’s son; and finally, retaliation against IRS employees who blew the whistle on the misconduct," the press release continues.

Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-MO) said of the findings, "the American people deserve to know that when it comes to criminal enforcement, they are not on the same playing field as the wealthy and politically connected class. The preferential treatment Hunter Biden received would never have been granted to ordinary Americans."

“Whistleblowers describe how the Biden Justice Department intervened and overstepped in a campaign to protect the son of Joe Biden by delaying, divulging, and denying an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes," Smith continued. "The testimony shows tactics used by the Justice Department to delay the investigation long enough to reach the statute of limitations, evidence they divulged sensitive actions by the investigative team to Biden’s attorneys, and denied requests by the U.S. Attorney to bring charges against Biden."

He is certainly correct here. The American people deserve greater transparency. And if recent testimony is to be believed, we need that transparency now more than ever.

As Fox News Digital previously reported, "According to testimony released by the committee, one whistleblower, IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley Jr., said decisions in the case seemed to be 'influenced by politics.' 'Whatever the motivations, at every stage decisions were made that had the effect of benefiting the subject of the investigation,' Shapley said. "These decisions included slow-walking investigative steps, now allowing enforcement actions to be executed, limiting investigators’ line of questioning for witnesses, misleading investigators on charging authority, delaying any and all actions months before elections to ensure the investigation did not go overt well before policy memorandum mandated the pause. These are just only a few examples."

These are serious allegations, but if true, we, the people, demand answers. 

Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA) added, "This is just the latest example of a double standard within the Biden Justice Department -- one standard for the President's son, and another for the hardworking American taxpayer."

"The testimony provided by these credible whistleblowers shows me there is unequal enforcement of our nation's tax laws. We learned about the abuse of power within the Internal Revenue Service and the Biden Justice Department to delay the investigation into Hunter Biden's alleged tax crimes," Kelly continued.

"That investigation lasted a whopping five years and resulted in the sweetheart plea agreement we saw this week. This testimony highlights what the American people have seen all along: a double-standard within the Biden Justice Department that favors the President's friends and family and targets political opponents," Kelly concluded.
