On Tuesday, a new poll released by the bipartisan group 'No Labels' showed leading Republican presidential contender and 45th President Donald J. Trump dominating Joe Biden in critical swing states all across the country, as the 2024 election inches ever closer. Change is on the horizon, and if recent polling is to be trusted, Republicans should not be afraid.
The poll finds Donald Trump leading Joe Biden by eight percent in North Carolina -- 54 percent to 46 percent. North Carolina was a critical swing state during Trump's 2020 run, and it looks like Trump has it locked up once again. In Georgia, Trump has a four percent lead -- Trump is besting Biden with 52 percent of the vote, as opposed to Biden's 48 percent voter support. In the crucial swing state of Arizona, Trump managed to grab 52 percent once again, as compared to Biden's 48 percent voter support.
Joe Biden managed to perform better in Wisconsin -- besting Donald J. Trump by six percent -- with 53 percent support as opposed to Trump's 47 percent support. Joe Biden also outperformed Donald Trump in Nevada -- grabbing 51 percent of support, as compared with Trump's 49 percent number. Trump and Biden both pulled even in Michigan and Pennsylvania -- each grabbing 50 percent of the hypothetical vote.
If Trump manages to maintain all his 2020 official electoral votes and the states he currently leads in, he would no doubt win the presidency in 2024. And that does not count the states where Donald Trump is currently tied with Joe Biden.
'No Labels', which advocates for a centrist candidate for president outside of the two-party system, assesses the results by saying, "most observers would agree that Joe Biden likely can’t be reelected in 2024 unless he once again wins Arizona and Georgia. But this poll shows President Biden losing both states in both a head-to-head matchup with Trump and in a three-way race that includes Trump and a moderate independent. In all, Biden wins only one out of six key battleground states he won in 2020."
"In other words, this poll doesn’t show a moderate independent spoiling the election for Biden. Moreover, given this poll’s sample size, the small swing it shows nationwide in favor of Trump with a moderate independent in the race is not statistically significant and would be given little to no weight in any serious polling analysis," 'No Labels' concludes.
