On Wednesday, leading Republican presidential contender and 45th President Donald J. Trump slammed Joe Biden for his speech to the United Nations General Assembly.
"Biden just finished his surrender ('speech') at the United Nations, and nobody, despite all we give them, showed up. No respect for America any longer," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"If I would have made that speech yesterday at the United Nations, for all of the World to see, including the HORRENDOUS delivery, I would have been run out of politics! An EMBARRASSMENT to our Country," Trump added.
Biden's speech to the United Nations was atrocious. Indeed, he had a viral gaffe during the speech that blew up the internet. But these gaffes are regular for Biden, and they absolutely should not be. A president has to have command over his speech; our nation often depends on effective communication, and effective communication is sorely lacking from Joe Biden.
As such, the contrast could not be clearer -- Trump is competent; Biden is inept. Trump understood the logic of nationalism, while Biden espouses a radical globalist agenda that will ultimately destroy our great nation if it is carried out to its logical conclusion. Trump's agenda puts America First, and that is in the best interest of everyone, but most especially America. A nation must address the concerns of those closest to her before she addresses the world's concerns.
Trump then discussed Biden's policies on weapons of mass destruction. While Americans would like to live without fear of weapons of mass destruction, we must be able to protect ourselves in the event of a large-scale conflict. At the very least, we need concrete assurances that other nations are following suit. Without those assurances, it is not in America's best interest to say anything to the world on the matter. But Biden lacks the negotiating prowess of Trump, and that hurts us on the world stage.
"Crooked Joe Biden announced yesterday that he has permanently ended certain very powerful & effective (but horrible!) Weapons of Mass & Lethal Destruction, but that other countries, which have similar weapons, have not followed suit, " Trump posted in another Truth Social post. "Can you imagine doing this without a deal for others to simultaneously do the same? We no longer have that powerful bargaining chip!!! Biden is a fool who is being laughed at all over the World. He is only good at ELECTION INTERFERENCE & WEAPONIZING our ELECTIONS!"
Trump is exactly correct and, in the year 2023, the American people are demanding better than Biden.
