POLL: Trump's Mass Deportation Plan Supported By Large Majority Of Americans, Swing State Voters

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's call to enact a massive deportation plan upon taking office in 2025 has garnered wide-ranging support from Americans across the country and across the political spectrum, according to a new poll.

A recent CBS News/YouGov poll found that a large majority of voters, 62 percent, are in favor of deporting 11 million to 22 million illegal immigrants who have crossed the southern border and who have been allowed to remain in the country under President Joe Biden's watch. Even more significantly for Trump's campaign, about six in ten swing state voters agreed with Trump's plan, and even four in ten Democrats supported the idea. Another voting bloc critical for Trump's reelection, white voters without a college degree, overwhelmingly support the 45th president's plan, with only 26 percent opposing it.

"One of the most important issues in this campaign is ending the nation-wrecking catastrophe on our southern border. Under my leadership, we had the most secure border in US history. Now, we have the worst border in the history of the world," Trump explained last year. "A vote for President Trump means Joe Biden's horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025. Upon my inauguration, I will immediately terminate every Open Borders policy of the Biden administration. Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American History."

The poll's findings come after eight foreign nationals suspected of having ties to ISIS-K were arrested over the weekend after they were allowed to roam freely throughout the United States after crossing the southern border. As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the eight men were being watched by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force for months to track their activities. While the FBI's terrorism task force was able to keep tabs on the men, the eight men were able to cross the border illegally and pass a background check without being held by border officials. One of the men utilized the CBP One app, which migrants use to claim asylum.

The investigation into the men revealed that one of the migrants was talking about bombs, leading a source to tell The New York Post, "Remember the Boston Marathon [bombing]? I'm afraid something like that might happen again or worse."

Given the national security risk posed by millions of illegal migrants being allowed to cross the southern border and live in the United States under the Biden administration, it is no wonder that Americans are increasingly open to deporting them back to their home countries. The recent arrests of the eight foreign nationals prove the dangers of an open southern border, and the American people want action.
