As we reported earlier, liberal Justice Stephen Breyer has announced he is retiring from the Supreme Court. Breyer, 83, is the oldest member of the Supreme Court. He was appointed under President Bill Clinton in 1994. As expected, news of Breyer’s retirement set the social media world ablaze. Here are a few reactions from the Twitter Sphere:
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki gives her response — noticeably absent any congratulations or overall color
It has always been the decision of any Supreme Court Justice if and when they decide to retire, and how they want to announce it, and that remains the case today. We have no additional details or information to share from @WhiteHouse

Liberal Missouri Representative Cori Bush offers her thoughts. Unsurprisingly, she turns the news to race. As one of his many campaign promises, Joe Biden committed to nominating a black female supreme court justice if he had the opportunity. With that opportunity available, Cori Bush looks to hold President Biden accountable to that promise:
It is past time for a Black woman to be named to the Supreme Court.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki agrees that Biden can and will follow through with his promise:
Asked if Pres. Biden will honor his pledge to nominate a Black woman to Supreme Court following reports of Justice Stephen Breyer’s retirement, White House press sec. Jen Psaki says he “certainly stands by that.” https://t.co/NyK4wgtmSQ pic.twitter.com/yOYmuCgZsu

Daily Wire host Matt Walsh replied to Cori Bush’s tweet in a way only he knows how. Cori Bush, who helped popularize the term “birthing person,” had this retort coming:
What is a woman? https://t.co/lbMvM54Idg

On the other side, fellow Daily Wire host Ben Shapiro turned the discussion to the 2022 midterms. The Democrats are not expected to do well in the upcoming election. As such, many have suspected Breyer’s retirement is politically motivated. Ben Shapiro is one of those people:
Justice Breyer can read tea leaves. And he knows November will be a wipeout for the Democrats, so he's getting out while the getting is good.

The Republican House Judiciary Committee took advantage of the situation to clown Hunter Biden. While the subject of enormous controversy, Hunter happens to be the “smartest guy” the Former Vice President and Current President knows. While obviously not a black woman, Joe has made exceptions for family. So it is no wonder many have speculated of his chances of receiving the coveted SCOTUS nomination:
Potential #SCOTUS candidate:
-Yale Law School, 1996
-Knowledgeable in international contracts
-Friends with foreign leaders throughout the worldPut Hunter on your shortlist, @JoeBiden! pic.twitter.com/Enm9rxDw0C

Jack Posobiec speculates on how Leftist smear efforts might influence the persuasiveness of Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin. These are two Dems Biden will surely need onboard for his nominee to go through:
Dems leaned on Breyer to retire so they get a court fight right before Midterms like Kavanaugh and motivate their base
Problem is their base has been abusing Sinema and Manchin and they need their votes

Conservative Talk Show Host Joe Pags claims the Leftist push for Biden to nominate a black woman is fundamentally “racist”:
If you’re pushing for Biden to nominate someone for SCOTUS based on race and gender, you’re a racist. Questions? #JusticeBreyer

While our editor, Brandon Gill calls out the absurdity of making race a factor in deciding who sits on the bench:
I’m old enough to remember when Supreme Court Justices were chosen based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
