Social Media Goes Wild After Bombshell News That Liberal Justice Breyer Is Retiring From The Supreme Court

As we reported earlier, liberal Justice Stephen Breyer has announced he is retiring from the Supreme Court. Breyer, 83, is the oldest member of the Supreme Court. He was appointed under President Bill Clinton in 1994. As expected, news of Breyer’s retirement set the social media world ablaze. Here are a few reactions from the Twitter Sphere:

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki gives her response — noticeably absent any congratulations or overall color

It has always been the decision of any Supreme Court Justice if and when they decide to retire, and how they want to announce it, and that remains the case today. We have no additional details or information to share from @WhiteHouse

Liberal Missouri Representative Cori Bush offers her thoughts. Unsurprisingly, she turns the news to race. As one of his many campaign promises, Joe Biden committed to nominating a black female supreme court justice if he had the opportunity. With that opportunity available, Cori Bush looks to hold President Biden accountable to that promise:

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki agrees that Biden can and will follow through with his promise:

On the other side, fellow Daily Wire host  Ben Shapiro turned the discussion to the 2022 midterms. The Democrats are not expected to do well in the upcoming election. As such, many have suspected Breyer’s retirement is politically motivated. Ben Shapiro is one of those people:

The Republican House Judiciary Committee took advantage of the situation to clown Hunter Biden. While the subject of enormous controversy, Hunter happens to be the “smartest guy” the Former Vice President and Current President knows. While obviously not a black woman, Joe has made exceptions for family. So it is no wonder many have speculated of his chances of receiving the coveted SCOTUS nomination:
