'We Should Have Closed Borders': RFK Jr. Sends A Strong Message To Biden As Title 42 Expiration Approaches

While Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s polling numbers has some Democrats like Jen Psaki opining about whether "the Democratic electorate now include a sizable anti-science contingent", Biden's main primary challenger now continues to attack the president on the consequences of his open borders policy. Kennedy appeared for an interview on WABC 7 where he slammed the current president.

As reported by Breitbart News, Kennedy opined at this forum that "We should have closed borders, and we should expand immigration...it’s not racist or insensitive to say that we need to close our borders and have an orderly immigration policy. I would expand legal immigration to this country that’s orderly, that makes sense for our country, but also that our borders are impervious.”

Kennedy explained that all "these open-door policies", enacted by the likes of Joe Biden, have done is hurt children and create a "humanitarian crisis."

The moral hazards, both potential and actual, of such policies are not worth continuing, RFK Jr. hinted. He said that as of now "We have a crisis, and we need to close our border." Kennedy also explored the damages that such policies have done to other countries. The Democrat said that American overt and covert involvement in Central America has destablized those countries and led toward the United States's own problems with its southern border.

He also made clear that "It is not anti-immigrant bigotry to demand an immigration system that keeps out criminals. In fact, letting them in stokes bigotry." He vowed that "As President, I will enforce a secure border, and I will expand the kind of LEGAL immigration that made our country great."

Kennedy further wrote that "Is it possible to be pro-immigration AND pro closing the border? Yes. America should be a haven of freedom and prosperity, open to law-abiding migrants who will contribute to our society. However, immigration must proceed in an orderly, lawful manner. Right now we have chaos at the border. Human trafficking, criminality, intolerable stress on border states like Texas. It is a humanitarian nightmare."

Kennedy also lambasted Biden's censorship stance and asserted that he, unlike Joe Biden, is for free speech. He emphasized that "Mr. Biden is for censorship. I’m against it...The White House, we now know from the Twitter files, has been trying to censor me, ordering, and pressuring the social media platforms to censor me and many many other people. Anybody who dissents from some of [Biden’s] policies … That is something that is wholly antithetical to the Democratic Party"

He further vowed that "Instead of championing free speech, the U.S. actively persecutes journalists and whistleblowers. I’ll pardon brave truth-tellers like Julian Assange and investigate the corruption and crimes they exposed. This isn’t the Soviet Union. The America I love doesn’t imprison dissidents."

The censorship of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. echoes in some ways the censorship of Donald J. Trump. The two individuals have interacted in the past. As Mr. Trump back in 2017 allegedly once offered Kennedy the position of chair on a panel on vaccine safety and scientitic intregrity. This offer was, according to Kennedy, pulled.

However, Trump's spokeperson at the time, Hope Hicks, noted that "The President-elect enjoyed his discussion with Robert Kennedy Jr. on a range of issues and appreciates his thoughts and ideas. The President-elect is exploring the possibility of forming a commission on Autism, which affects so many families; however no decisions have been made at this time. The President-elect looks forward to continuing the discussion about all aspects of Autism with many groups and individuals."
