Last week, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) revealed that her request to subpoena the flight logs of deceased convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was blocked by fellow Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL). Jeffrey Epstein, who was known to hold get-togethers on his private island with some of the richest and most famous people in the world, has been a figure of public controversy for the last several years. But, the controversy surrounding Epstein's mysterious death in prison in August 2019 escalated the controversy significantly. As such, the American people want answers to who was involved in enabling Epstein's agenda, which was, by all accounts, truly disgusting and perverse.
"This is a sad day in the history of the prestigious Judiciary Committee and further underscores the Left's two tiers of justice crusade... [The Democrats] don't want to have a conversation about the estate of Jeffrey Epstein to find out the names of every person who participated in Jeffrey Epstein's human trafficking ring," Blackburn said in a press release. Durbin, who chairs the Judiciary Committee, was more than satisfied to subpoena personal friends of Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas last week. However, when it comes to going after Jeffrey Epstein, Durbin failed to take the actions patriotic Americans all over America are demanding.
Marsha Blackburn first began her effort to subpoena Epstein's flight logs in an early November speech to the Senate Judiciary Committee, in which she said, "And since we're in the business of issuing subpoenas now, here are a few more that I've filed. A subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein's estate to provide the flight logs for his private plane. Given the numerous allegations of human trafficking and abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, we've got to identify everyone who could have participated in his horrific conduct."
Following the press release last week, Blackburn posted a series of tweets, saying, "We need to uncover the names of every individual who participated in Jeffrey Epstein's horrific human trafficking ring. I'm calling to subpoena his flight logs." She continued in another tweet, adding, "I'm not stopping until the names of every person on Epstein's flight log are released to the public. The American people deserve transparency. Let's see if Christopher Wray will give us any during today's Senate Judiciary Hearing." It is a sad day indeed when an effort to hold a convicted sex trafficker and his cronies accountable is lacking in bipartisan support. We, the American people, want answers now.
