'We Will Get The Document': Speaker McCarthy Will Force The FBI To Hand Over Document Alleging Biden Bribery Scandal

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was interviewed by Fox News over the evolving situation of the FBI's refusal to hand over the document believed to detail a pay-to-play corruption scandal tied to Ukraine involving then Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national. During that interview, McCarthy remarked that he was determined to get that document and that "I believe after this call, we will get the document" according to Just the News.

McCarthy's statement comes after the FBI failed to comply with the terms of a congressional subpoena to turn over said document. The Californian Speaker expounded that in the aftermath of this, "I explained to the director that we will do everything in our power, and we have jurisdiction over the FBI, that we have the right to see this document...I believe after this call, we will get the document." The document in question was revealed to congressional investigators through a whistleblower disclosure. 

Revelations over the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) politically motivated misconduct through the Durham report have created massive pressure on politicians to confront the FBI to prevent other such abuses. Democrats like Robert Kennedy Jr. have championed the findings of the report as demonstrating the need for serious reform of corrupted institutions. Kennedy remarked in an interview with Dave Smith "[t]hat report is appalling...You have...fifty top-level CIA agents who agree to collaborate in a project to fix an election."

McCarthy too has partly reacted to the implications of the Durham report by proposing the expulsion of Adam Schiff (D-CA) from Congress over his cover-up operation for the collusion scheme by Clinton and the intelligence services. "We’re asking Durham to come in and testify so we can look at it more. It really raises the question about Adam Schiff... You remember when he told the American people he had proof? Remember when he told him he didn’t know the whistleblower and what he put America through and openly lied to us? And now it’s proven in this as well. It raises a lot of questions about his character, his standing inside of Congress, or whether he should even be in Congress," McCarthy observed.
 

He further mused in a different interview the Democrats and FBI "took America through an impeachment over a lie that they knew. You had Adam Schiff, who was chairman of the Intel Committee, lying day after day to the American public that he had proof, that he knew the proof. Now we’re finding in the Durham Report his own staff threatened witnesses. I mean, why is this individual still even in Congress? And why does he think he can even run for higher office after what he did? When you look at Hillary Clinton, she created this. The FBI paid people and knew it was false."

Should evidence of Biden being involved in a bribery scheme be uncovered through the FBI's handing over the document in question that Congress requested, this could possibly start the clock for Biden's impeachment. After all, as former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz pointed out one of the constitutional standards for impeachment is bribery.
