Subscribers Flee From Fox Nation After Tucker Carlson Ouster – Will You Stop Tuning In?

Following the internet-breaking news that Fox News‘s former top-rated prime-time host Tucker Carlson was ousted from the network a torrent of angry viewers, supporters, and most notably subscribers began to flee from Fox Nation, the outlets’ online streaming service, in droves.

As reported by DC Enquirer, Fox News‘s abrupt announcement that the powerhouse media personality had hosted his last show left the network’s investors reeling with capital losses approaching $1 Billion the same day.

Breitbart News reported that a steady stream of public unsubscriptions began shortly after. Townhall.com’s Scott Morefield was among the first to publicize the exodus tweeting, “I just cancelled my Fox Nation subscription with the note: ‘No Tucker Carlson, no Fox Nation subscription. Goodbye.’ Who is doing the same?”

Other Twitter users have taken the move a step farther and even opted to delete the Fox News App entirely from their mobile devices.

CONSERVATIVES PRAISE KIND HEARTED TUCKER CARLSON AFTER HIS DEPARTURE FROM FOX NEWS

Political commentator and former Deputy Assistant to President Donald Trump, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, publicly asked via Twitter, “So do the @foxnation subscribers, who only paid to watch Tucker’s extras, get their money back??”

If Morefield’s sentiment was a raindrop, then a downpour followed.

A Fox News press release on Carlson’s departure claimed,

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.

Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

However, this was contradicted later in the day by reporting from the Los Angeles Times that Carlson was in fact ousted with little warning on the direct order of the Chairman of the Fox Corporation Rupert Murdoch.

The 92-year-old media mogul billionaire was allegedly concerned about Carlson’s groundbreaking coverage of the January 6th Capitol Riot that thoroughly contradicted the narratives of the overtly biased Democrat-run “Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.”

Contrary to initial speculation, Carlson’s dismissal was allegedly unrelated to the $787 million settlement between Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems.

While it is impossible to ascertain how many paid subscribers the network has lost without internal information, according to Social Blade, the Fox News YouTube channel lost approximately 100,000 subscribers Monday following the Tucker Carlson announcement and the Fox Nation YouTube channel lost one thousand the following day. Also according to SERanking FoxNews.com is down in organic traffic by 6.1 million views month-to-date.
