It would seem that Target pushing the LGBTQ agenda is nothing new, as a recent report revealed that the retail giant has donated over $2.1 million towards the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). GLSEN is an organization that pushes for the invasive gender ideology to be integrated into every school subject and provides schools with sexually explicit books featuring homosexual acts of sex.
Target is already in hot water following its recent ‘Pride’ collection which features “tuck-friendly” swimsuits for females and LGBTQ clothing aimed towards children which has resulted in a major boycott of the store, per the DC Enquirer. The Minnesota-based company has already witnessed major losses in its stock prices after just a week of the boycott and is likely to continue on that negative trajectory, per the DC Enquirer.
However, according to a Fox News report, it would seem that these hyper-liberal actions are nothing new from the retail giant. Target has donated GLSEN for many years, having teamed up with the LGBTQ advocacy group in 2015 for the 25th anniversary of its founding.
“GLSEN leads the movement in creating affirming … and anti-racist spaces for LGBTQIA+ students. We are proud of 10+ years of collaboration with GLSEN and continue to support their mission,” the retailer previously stated.
GLSEN works on many different aspects, with a notable one being the Rainbow Library initiative, which allows individuals to purchase books which in turn go towards donating those books to school libraries. GLSEN has reported that they’ve sent over 46,000 books to schools, which sounds great until the fact that many of them contain explicit LGBTQ themes comes to light.
As noted in a Daily Wire article, a particularly disturbing book available is “Gender Queer,” which features such disgusting scenes as masturbation and oral sex, both of which are accompanied by illustrations. The book even contains a passage with a young boy fantasizing about touching an older man’s genitalia.
GLSEN has also fought against legislation that bans LGBTQ books with sexually explicit themes and imagery in them.
In another post from the organization titled, “How Do We Make Math Class More Inclusive of Trans and Non-binary Identities,” the group said that a math problem discussing the cost for a prom night should “be explicit about including LGBTQ couples in any formal attire they choose.”
Another ingenious idea is including they/them pronouns in math questions and activities, specifically crafting a question around finding how many persons use they/them pronouns within a given population.
The entire initiative of GLSEN sits somewhere between the realm of bizarre to disgusting, and for Target to have supported them annually with donations gives more fuel to the fire in the boycott. Removing the ‘Pride’ collection no longer should be enough for sensible consumers to return to the store, but Target must also cut off their affiliation with GLSEN and any organizations like them.
It’s time consumers ensure that the money they spend on a day-to-day basis is going towards good causes and not just lining the pockets of people who want nothing but the worst for this country.
