Terrified Liz Cheney Goes Berserk After Trump Shares Call For Her To Face 'Televised Military Tribunal' For Treason

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who lost her seat in Congress in 2022 by 37.4 percent to 45th President Donald Trump endorsed Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY), threw a fit after Trump shared a post that called for her to face a "televised military tribunal" for being "guilty of treason." Cheney shared Trump's repost from his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, on X and wrote, "Donald - This is the type of thing that demonstrates yet again that you are not a stable adult—and are not fit for office."

After doubling down on her anti-Trump rhetoric, Cheney lost her primary against Trump's endorsed candidate by the largest margin in the past 60 years. In 2022, Cheney lost to Trump's chosen candidate, Hageman, with 28.9 percent to 66.3 percent, a 37.4 percent difference. Hageman went on to win the 2022 general election by a landslide with her 68.2 percent to a minor Democrat's 24.4 percent.

Time and time again, Cheney has done everything in her power to take down Trump but has lost every single time. In January 2024, Cheney begged Republican New Hampshire voters to reject Trump, saying, "Speak for us all. Tell the world who we are with your vote. Tell them that we are a good and a great nation. But make sure they know that we do not bend, we do not break, and we do not yield in the defense of our freedom. Show the world that we will defeat the plague of cowardice sweeping through the Republican party." Trump went on to win the New Hampshire Republican primary with a 54.3 percent landslide, which made Trump the first Republican presidential candidate to win open races in Iowa and New Hampshire since both states began leading the election calendar in 1976.

In February 2024, Cheney begged the Supreme Court to reject giving Trump criminal immunity. "Delaying the January 6 trial suppresses critical evidence that Americans deserve to hear," Cheney wrote. "Donald Trump attempted to overturn an election and seize power. Our justice system must be able to bring him to trial before the next election. SCOTUS should decide this case promptly." Earlier this week, the Supreme Court ruled that 45th President Donald Trump has some immunity from prosecution in his federal election case in a legendary and historic 6-3 decision. The ruling is a massive blow to special counsel Jack Smith's prosecution, causing a further delay in his case against Trump. "Under our system of separated powers, the President may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for his official acts. That immunity applies equally to all occupants of the Oval Office," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority's opinion.
